Testing out understable, stable, and overstable midranges with Paul McBeth
Darkhorse 3 Pack and Get Freaky Zone
www.discraft.c...
This is the part of disc golf that I love the most. The shot shaping that you can do with midranges is unreal. If you are a fan of those crazy trick shots I do, you will love throwing midranges. There is almost a limitless number of flight paths and it really allows you to get super creative. Can't wait to find the perfect ones for me and get them dialed in.

@lorenbarnhurst
@lorenbarnhurst 4 жыл бұрын
@@joshuachoate7966 I disagree with your disagreement :) To me, he wasn't saying follow the 'arc' of the hula hoop, but instead, merely recognize that the plane you are throwing on needs to be followed through with the complementary plane (where the other side of the hula hoop would be). I'm always looking for visual ways to help people that I'm trying to help out (like breaking the window with your elbow on the pull-through, etc.)

I'm in the process of building my bag right now, so these videos are really cool. It's teaching me a lot and also confirms I'm on the right track. My bag consists of Innova discs though, because I can't get much variety here in the Netherlands. Innova and discmania are the only well known brands available. Otherwise I'd have to spend a ton on shipping if I wanted to get discraft or DD etc. But I'm very happy with Innova though, they make great discs.

I'm in Florida with a great store nearby with a hundred brands, and I still stick with Innova. Why - I've gotten to know their lineup and they have pretty good quality control. The champion and G-star plastics are better than the competition. And sometimes you get a pretty perfect disc like a Roc or a Destroyer that can't really be improved upon. Also, nobody else has anything like the Nova.

Super helpful stuff! One thing that would take it to next level is to flash the name of each disc w/ its numbers below it (and maybe having that info w/ links in the description)

@@BrodieSmith I played ultimate and when I started playing disc golf a guy gave me a Comet because he knew I would love it. He just said, "It's just a faster Ultimate disc" I've now been bagging one for twenty years. Grab you a Michael Johansen Tour Series.. Greatest. Comet.Ever. I really like blowing peoples minds when I flick it down tunnel shots in the woods.

I really don’t like the feel of the comet. Kind of weird feeling to me. I haven’t really jived with mine yet. I need to get it out and throw it a bit more. The meteor and Buzzz SS feel better in hand to me.

The buzzz is my favorite disc by far. I’ve played an entire round with a buzzz and a putter back when I only had 2 discs. I bought 4 when I first started, and lost 2 in water hazards. So I just stuck to the buzzz and my putter for a few rounds. I’ve since bought a new driver and fairway driver. Need to keep adding to the collection.

"225 feet is not even that far of a shot" said no one ever who have just started to play Disc Golf and is throwing a mid. But then again Brodie is not a novice in disc throwing, so don't be disappointed if you can't reach there yourself at first. Great content 👍

Was thinking that myself. 225' being 'not that big a shot' with a mid is a goal, not a starting point

I play with the Buzzz and sometimes with a buzzzzzzz. Brodie you have really matured as a host. Your explanations are getting better all the time. Really like this series with Paul. I hope you consider yourself lucky to be learning from the best teammate in the game. No offense to Simon or any of the other greats, they're amazing to learn from too. All the best in the upcoming season Brodie. My go to mid is the BuzzzOS because I'm a powerhouse with the discs, so more overstable for me is what wrx. It's hucking discs by the way.
