Can never accuse a German product of not being well thought out and thoroughly engineered.

They use the same CABLING through all products! Brilliant! And BOLTED for minimum resistance. True HIFI.

Probably the best Audio in the world. Just these speakers are truly unreachable in terms of pure high fidelity. the price tags too for sure. The attention to detail is just touching perfection. I would say that there is no other maker like these guys despite this is a relatively young brand but sure as hell they take no prisoners. Amazing.

These are huge speakers, I like the frequent use of metal in their designs. While I’ve never heard the home audio lines, I’m sure their true quality and sound isn’t reflected fully in the car audio lines. In my experience the highs and mids are loud and clear but not actually detailed or smooth as others I’ve heard but still very good.

I wouldn’t discount them before listening. Burmester is an amazing company and never puts something in production before making it astute and up to the highest standard. So, Munich show is where they’ll be displayed?

The insertion loss on those complex networks would require many watts.

The size and types of resistors and every other component seem to show they expect many watts!

Is it just me or do the surrounds on those woofers look like they are "foam" instead of "rubber" ?? Holy moly !!

Why is it that audiophile speakers sound the least like real music ?
@stephenscharf62939 ай бұрын
At the prices these speakers sell for, I’m disappointed in seeing the use of iron-core inductors in the crossover.

11 min 30 sec...so when I buy Burmester speakers the woofers are 'Used' / Pre-Owned ?
@Crmsnraider Жыл бұрын
Thats it. Seems many companies carry out this specific step in their manufacturing process to be certain. To them it seems there is value in it to the customer. Genuinely OEM pre-played and broken-in direct.

Yeah, they do you the favour of breaking them in, so you can start listening to them as they are designed to sound, without having to attempt to break them in yourself.

Guess they never heard of the acronym "KISS". That complicated of a signal path may work to rationalize a high cost, but will never sound as good as a minimal design. Just sayin...

Was für ein sinnloser Quatsch. Lautsprecher gegen jede technische Grundlage. Der Lautsprecher ist ein Draht. Bei den ganzen Bauteilen auf den Frequenzweichen wird der Klang so gebogen, dass nichts vernünftiges mehr herauskommt. Fragt euch einfach welche Lautsprecher Profis nutzen? Genau einfache optimal abgestimmte Monitore.

$375,000 a pair and they only claim to go down to 28 hz @ -3db. Ported design? Yucko! So you need a subwoofer too if you want to hear those organ pedal notes. They weigh about 900 pounds each. Move along, move along. Nothing to see here. 😁
@paulb4661 Жыл бұрын
Not a fan of anything other, than sealed myself, still the claimed extension, if actual, is pretty respectable and more than likely to excite any room down to below threshold of hearing. I wouldn't even try to marry a sub, considering complicated phase relationship of vented enclosures and much higher, minimum upper roll-off frequency of most commercial subs.
@markfischer3626 Жыл бұрын
@@paulb4661 as acoustic suspension speakers go the new KLH model 5 has rather mediocre bass. About the same as the original KLH model 6 and not the equal of the original KLH model 5, AR3 derivatives, or the Larger Advent. Teledyne Acoustic Research Model 9 is IMO the king of the deep.
