My FIV boy has had it for most of his 13yrs. As long as they don't fight there's no problem. Keep on top of any infections and they do well.

Several times Mickey and Hazel showed their claws. You might want to consider a scratching post of some kind. Wish I could afford to give my Millie a catio as nice as the one you built. I really loved this video. Thanks for sharing.

I spent a good deal of time this year building a “cat walkway” around the top floor of our house for our indoor cats. That and various shelves means they have plenty to climb on and run around. They’re so much more fun projects than most as the cats love them!

A great project Keith, not too stressful to do as it didn't need to be perfect! I wish more cat owners would take a leaf out of your book and keep their cats at home, instead of allowing them to roam free and use their neighbours gardens as toilets! I must have spent £100's of pounds over the years on cat prevention methods and replacing/repairing plants etc! I work as a gardener and come across cat mess on a daily basis. It's beyond me why people let their cats out, when surely the idea of having a pet is for companionship and company! You must get a great deal of pleasure watching their antics in their new playground! Well done, and thanks for taking the time to produce the videos!

I used to have my whole backyard fenced in with that purr-fect fence product, but I couldn’t keep it secure, and my kitty kept escaping so eventually I had it torn down. But now he is becoming a door-dasher whenever I’m not looking. So I’m thinking it would be wonderful if I could make something like this attached to my dining room window. But I don’t have any of the woodworking tools that you do so I’ll just have to admire from afar.😊

This is great, maybe consider putting some old carpet or sisal on the ladder? This will make the cats more stable while they're on it and less likely to fall off, especially after rain, since they'll have something to cling onto with their paws!

You are a very kind Cat-Father, I'm sure Mickey & Hazel will really appreciate your efforts on their behalf, makes for a much more stimulating life for them both ! Your observation that they seem quite content with the artificial grass is the equivalent of buying a child a really great gift and they play with the box ! It is obvious that the safety and health of your kits is paramount to you. I am wondering if you are able to take them outside the cattery on a leash & harness?? Any videos with your cats in are guaranteed a watch, and this is no exception. I have 4 of them at home myself, and one of them would be just like yours, "assisting" or "supervising" all aspects of the build. In a couple of my videos you can even hear her meowing from outside my workshop door, like 'lemme in y'bugger! You know you're not safe without me checking up on you!' Once catmint roots get a good hold, they can be put into a small to medium pot and hung up high. Bees and Hummingbirds will visit the flowers and you can nip off leaves or stems to instantly give some to the cats or use to dry to make tea. This allows you to grow catnip without the cats getting into the pot and eating the whole plant. We bought a packet of catnip seeds and sprinkled them into the dirt around the edge of our cemented backyard. Our cats couldn't keep up with the amount of catnip plant that grew and it was encroaching onto the cement by a foot! I ended up having to trim it every few months after it flowered and drying the stems. Made lots of gifts for my cat loving family and friends.
