As much as I loved my '86 back in the day, I love the 85 and earlier 6 hole dash that was just begging for an all AutoMeter gauge replacement in every hole. Man does this video bring back some good memories, sore knuckles..... and without a lift, laying on my back while hammering the tunnel to clear the TH350 and full exhaust. It's been 30 years now since I built my first SBC swapped '86 S10 back in 1993 and I would give anything to be back living in that time, although my 2nd attempt with a 4l80e in an '88 5 years later with power steering and power brakes was my favorite. Even though the first one only had manual steering and lacked power brakes, I still hold it in fond memory, as it was my first. You never forget your first.

Have you considered doing a split coolant system with 2 small radiators, one for each bank, and completely separate of each other. You could put them on the far sides behind the headlights, and still put the turbos visible behind the grill. It would require some modifications to the water ports on the intake, and 2 inline water pumps. This would also aid in diagnosing a head gasket problem, if and when it might happen. Just thinkin out loud I guess. Love that sweet looking truck btw!!

Since we don't have much going on at work this video makes me wanna go down in the sheet metal shop and make a tire pressure gauge lock box with a fkd up tricky lock that yall can put all the gauges in and hand the old man the key. Put TPG security badge on it cut out from the water jet. Hang it in the front of the shop and see how long it takes him to figure it out.

Well anytime Bill says he’s heading south to a warm spot to test while it’s cold in Ohio, you can pretty much count on him going to Wilkesboro NC. Although I’m not sure why he came here this weekend cause it’s the coldest weather we’ve had in years this time of year. It was 24 last night and will be 22 tonight although it did get decent into mid 50d today. He knows the guys at that track pretty well so it’s a good spot to come. Im only about a half hour from the track but I think most of his fans are like me and we respect Bill and are not just gonna crash his party. There may be a few idiots that would and while I’d love to go watch, I’m just not gonna go without permission from Bill, that just ain’t cool 😎
