Great experience for your young men. I’m sure they will never forget this project with dad.

Can a T-51 also get the Meredith Effect?
@SocialFlight4 жыл бұрын
I believe it’s possible, since the air exit is smaller than the radiator inlet. However, we did not crate a customized smooth plenum duct in our build as some builders have. We stuck with the plans that use the belly fiberglass, top plenum plates and holes in the bulkheads. For those not familiar with the Meredith Effect, it is the extra thrust generated from the air heated by the radiator when channeled through a smaller exit door at the back of the belly.

Very good Mr. Simon! I like to follow what you and your son's are doing. I am mostly impressed with the fact that you give your boys a chance to participate and learn from you as a parent. I have not been able to inspire my boys to help out and learn building either our Cub or the Mustang! So big cred to you Sir! Now, have you thought about the V12 we are making for the plane you are building? You should ask some serious questions about it, or even better, come to Norway for a vissit and check it out. Sincerely yours, Ole Ringstad, Aerosport Engineering.
