You did a nice job with that truck. I have a 2003 ford ranger xlt 3.0 RWD. Now I'm thinking about doing the frame.

I have had a few of these trucks and the paint on the lower side of the body has a coating of some sort that makes it feel orange peely. It is an anti rust. The cat has a heat shield on it and it breaks welds. A secret that nobody tells is that if you go to the salvage yard and look around, you can find a F150 with a 3.7 and get the cat from it. They support 360 hp, in a single. Cheap muffler pipe bent to fit makes a good cold air pipe. If memory serves me a 4.0 throttle body will work and a bit more power. I can bet you that if it has the original clutch slave cylinder, it has the original fluid. Change and the cup. These trucks love a wheel with a good bit of poke, it will handle better than most sports cars. Now I am wanting another one, so that I can put a new Mustang Ecoboost 2.3 and trans in it.

I’m from Minnesota and that surface rust is surely just from regular moisture in the air… not flooding or anything like that… normal amount of surface rust for a 30 year old vehicle that thing is mint

They weren’t different. They were a specifically designed lowering kit for the truck.
