In this how to build a model video, I will be completing the Revell Apollo 11 Astronaut On The Moon 50th Anniversary 1/8 scale model kit.

It looks like it's a really old style kit. It would be interesting to see it super-detailed and with all the inaccuracies corrected.

Absolutely fabulous. I bought this quite a while ago and haven't started it yet . The instructions are the old black printed version it looks like revel have updated the instructions and look far better bearing in mind this model was originally introduced around 50 years ago

Pad and leg coat in cooking aluminium, spray some of base grey bit inboard and rest gold. Plenty of pics internet.

Highlights on the suit would have made it look so much more realistic like guys do with paint brushes for the war figurines and stuff like that but awse kit and great idea on fire pit ash

I did a black wash on the whole suit but as the creases are not very deep, most of it all came back off as I was thinning it out.

For wash i just use art shop acrylic. If it doesn't look right, just wash it off.
