Most kids these days aren't allowed to ride a bicycle without 20 lb of safety gear and a GPS locator. The Miller kids are playing with fire torches and chainsaws, climbing on roofs, learning how to build stuff! I love it. They're living and learning!

For me the Miller family is my absolutely favor show on KZbin. It's amazing how this family is working together, and nobody is crying when it's raining.For me it looks like they don't care about rain they have fun in the rain. My wife and I raised our five children in New Jersey on an 88 acre camp and seeing you and your family build these memories is priceless. I've built and worked on several log homes. Those 2"x6" tongue and groove boards you use for ceiling exposure. You ran them vertical vs horizontal. Our roofs allowed us to run them horizontal. Interesting reveal on the inside. Thomas Dutkiewicz Connecticut

I have loved that technique ever since I first saw Fixer Upper apply the technique to a houseboat they restored. Very cool! I can see where it would be a terrific choice for a home in Alaska.

Wow! Love how the kids all help out. I remember helping my dad build our family room addition back in the early 1970’s! I got on the roof too and help nail shingles. This is an experience they will never forget. Never seen so much rain in Alaska. Winter is coming so I hope everything goes smoothly from here on. Can’t wait for the next episode!
