What he said at the beginning of the video is something I realized a few years ago by listening to his music, listening to a lot of other diy artists, and just watching all kinds of other stuff on the internet. While Joe's music is special and beautiful, it's not a sacred art reserved only for those gods who have been granted musical talent. Anybody can do it. It's a powerful thing to realize that everything that has ever been done was done by a normal person just like you. If you want to do something, it is never out of the question. I think some people might have always had this mindset, and it seems silly to even think that something as simple as making music is only possible for certain people. But I guess for me, and a lot of people like me, the world was just never a place where we were truly free to pursue the things that we desire. Some of us never get firsthand experience with the people who are doing the things we want to do. We grow up in a microcosm where nobody is creating or doing anything interesting, our parents go to work and then come home and watch tv. Our friends just play video games. Anybody who is actually out there doing things is part of some other world where we don't belong. But the reality is that you can be a part of that greater world. I love nothing, nowhere. I loved him from the first time I heard Letdown after googling the name of some nobody artist opening up for a band I was going to see. But more than anything else I am so grateful for him and people like him for showing us that we are worth more than we think. At the end of the day, a song is just a song, but what I've learned about life is much more valuable.

If it means anything, I consider myself as a multi-genere guy. I like the sound of these alternative-rock-hiphop thingies out there but there are a very little amount lyrically that I like. Your music is one of them, and I can't ignore the fact that you writes your own stuff. I've had a dream circa 8-9 years ago, that I will write songs, and now a friend of mine and I started to demoing our very own songs and you inspire me in several ways. So Joe, if you read this, thank you for being here in this exact timeline, I love your work, never stop doing this please.

I want to thank you for giving me the words to explain how I feel. I painfully had to end a relationship recently, even though I still care for her. Things just faded. Your music was my anthem when my ex left me dude, right as that time ended I found you over a year ago with Cherry Red and now your music literally has such an impact of healing for me that I get emotional and honestly feel tears sometimes because I think back how I pushed through all that shit and here I am today, still alive, better. I do think of the times I imagine I could have had but your music is what makes the feeling surge, not the lonely fact that I miss someone who cheated, but your songs were an anthem for my healing. So thank you.
