since your wash station is always gonna be against that fence, maybe look into sealing it against the detergents and grime it'll now be receiving.

Your neighbor must really like you. I think you need to lower to bike mount and put the brush holder on the other side of the post. That way you're not spraying water into you neighbors yard and they don't have to look at the the brushes you have hanging up. Also I'd check to see if the water from washing is draining into their backyard...i mean garden. Looks great though. You did a great job building the shed and wash stations.

1. You need overfill system 2. You also need some kind of a filter to prevent debris from trees etc that landed on that roof and then was washed by rain

Indeed. With leaves decaying in there the water will soon be disgusting.

If I'm not mistaken, it looks like the gutter system had a filter at the end before it gets collected. Wasn't said in the video, but it does look like it to me. As well as the filter in the hose for the pressure washer.

Put a good water sealant on the post and the fence behind the wash station so it's better preserved.

Cut the top of the post at an angle (water will sit on tje flat and end grain will absorb it through the whole post) and treat the post and fence behind it otherwise they will rot fairly quickly. Also a simple strainer to stop the worst of debris coming off the roof in the water butt. You can buy little mesh guards that go in the down pipe hole or a mesh cover that covers the whole gutter. Love the Blake builds stuff 👍

I’d suggest using the wooden post as a better support mechanism, for your bottles and brushes. By running the bar through the post, you create a much stronger extension, which your end plate could be screwed in on the opposite side. I’m in the process of building my own wash station and it never occurred to me to look at the cordless Worx washer and water tank, due to my remote waterless location. My gears are turning…. 😂
@NonoGopro
@NonoGopro Жыл бұрын
That's a nice installation Blake! I think you should add 2 things, one little fence just at the end of your gutter to filter the water before it drop in the tubes and in the tank. The other thing will be a sort of cap at the top of the stand, because the wood don't like that the water when it drop in the fiber way. So you will protect it from moisture 👍🏻

Nice job Blake, i would recommend an additional gutter clip between joiner and outer clip as over time you may find it sags a little. 800mm spacing max for ogee but you can never have too many, Keep up the great content 🤙🏼 love watching you.

Awesome work, awesome video! Those wood screws holding your bike bracket are probably going to fail quicker than you'd like though, especially if you extend it out so the pedal clears the post. I'd enlarge the holes in the bracket, drill through the post, and then put a bolt or two through instead.

I think your brushes and liquids should be on one rack where you lift the whole rack from storage and hang in on the post. An eye bolt in the post and in the shed that the top of the rack hooks in to, then an angled support that just rests below that. So tilt up to insert the hook, and gravity will hold it in place.

Nice worx tools, 'power share' batteries etc.. but tbh there should be one battery standard like it is with USB ports. Now there is XX brands and XX batteries on the market... You buy one tool and in some way you obligates to its 'system' or battery standard.. Yes there are adapters but these are not always efficient.

Couple things I would do I would get a Park tool mechanic stand, which will make the bike a lot. More stable to wash on. Second thing is I would get a rollabout proper pressure washer with lease 1.5 GPM and 1200 psi rating electric. You can actually use an automobile foaming gun to properly wash your bike. Gtechniq makes a bike care system where you can ceramic coat, your frame, and so forth which makes washing a whole lot easier. But you definitely need a better pressure washer. That thing could not be putting out any more than 400 psi.
@rupedog

Yeh... Blast that grease out! It's 800 psi, 220L/hr. That's way more than u need on a bike. Gtechnik ceramic defo helps
