For me, a best eleven is not simply putting the best 11 players on the pitch, but more of fitting in each position with the best player. This means the players should be playing their natural roles. I think in your formation, both Barou, Chigiri and Karasu weren't at their best positions, which would significantly affect their performance. Imagine the prime level of Gareth Bale in Real Madrid and you put him back at left back position, he wouldn't have performed as good as he did in the front three. I do understand there is an overload of talents in blue lock that can play the front three, that's why some sacrifice have to be made. But I would rather put those strong players in the bench, rather than putting them in positions that not fitting their talents. For example, in a simple 4-3-3, I would pick a team like the following: GK: Gagamaru RB: Korona | CB: Oliver | CB: Aryu | LB: Yukimiya CM: Hiori | CM: Sae | CM: Karasu RW: Isagi | CF: Rin | LW: Chigiri And yes, that means I left out some insanely strong players like Barou, Bachira, Shido, Nagi and Reo, but the above best 11 are at their natural positions and thus can perform at their best. Squad rotation is also a thing in a tournament, so I'm not surprised any of those 11 players (except Gagamaru and Sae) to be rotated in different match.

EWWWWW. I can’t lie bro you’re not cooking with that one. Playing people in their best positions while leaving out the best players in those positions I a crazy take to me. You’re contradicting yourself by putting ISAGI ON THE WING. If you’re a fan of the show and manga it should be clear that ISAGI HATES PLAYING ON THE WING. And the people your putting in the pose positions won’t actually help the team because the offence is now impractical and their are less attackers in a fully attacking team. Chigiri at left wing might be good but him at fullback would help provide more attacking players. And no bachira is crazy to me. Barou should defo be down the wing with bachira. Play a 4-1-1-4 with similar defence only yukimima and chigiri and fullback, Karatsu at cdm, hiori at cam, bachira and barou down the wings and Isagi and run up top. Yes no sae but I don’t think he is playing for the U-20.

I think what the scene with aryu blocking the ball when gagamaru couldnt reach it is a hint at him becoming a gk. Gagamaru of all people shouldve been able to, yet aryu's reach allowed him to save it in the nick of time, and be honest, if aryu became a decent gk his potential could be nuts

3-4-3 system. Rin Barou Isagi Chigiri Karasu Sae Bachira Niko Aiku Aryuu Gagamaru Just like Ruben Amorim's Sporting team. The LCB has to be great on the ball and spatially aware which fits niko due to his MV, Aiku as a Central CB as he is the Wall and Dominant in duels(MV is a Plus) and Aryuu at RCB due to his Aerial presence in the box and range. The wide players are the most crucial as they essentially play as LM and RM , with 2 different profile of players , at LM Chigiri could be potent with his physicality and intensity post NEL can constantly run the pitch up and down and offer defensive cover and offensive option, Bachira at RM due to his ball control and crossing in the final third and linkup with the RW/RAM. Karasu and Sae as the midfield pivot are perfect due to Karasu's defensive prowess, ball winning ability and ability to play as an anchor shielding the defense, Sae as a ball carrier and progressor (No explaination needed). Rin at LW/LAM as he is the MOST POTENT ATTACKER in Blue lock, his output is unmatched and in the opponent half he is unpredictable and most dangerous due to his Accurate finishing, huge arsenal and range(shooting, creativity, dribbling, passing, spatial awareness ) also could be the dead ball specialist plus in this position he is perfect due to his ball control in tight spaces, outside the box threat and making second runs in behind. Isagi at RW/RAM due to his creativity and ability to link up with the striker and the RM and his MV allows him to adapt to any situation in game and get in great positions offensively and defensively, only downside is his inability in tight spaces unlike Bachira and Rin as he isn't known for his ball control or dribbling. I choose barou as a stirker because of his ability to run down the channels and finishing and create spaces for the wingers and AMs to occupy. He has Predator eye to enhance his eye for a goal and is unpredictable and could be really lethal alongside Rin and Isagi.(I choose Barou over Shidou just because Shidou is a moody player and could easily be shut down meanwhile barou is consistent).

Nah the main weapon of chigiri is his pace. So if you want to use it properly either play him in lb or wings. Making him play in the lm will always force rin to go towards the center to make space for chigiri or for chigiri to stop using his pace.

@pathikdey4777 pace is plus on that wide channel though. He would essentially be relieved from the excess defensive responsibility he would be asked in LB. So LM is perfect for him. He can easily hold the width and run the channel and even deliver crosses. And it wouldn't affect Rin though, because Rin is more effective as an inside forward than on the wide wings.

And also I don't think keeping barou as striker is a good option with players like isagu and rin. He will never cooperate and will interfere in their play. So keeping shidou as main striker with barou as a sub for difficult situations is a better option

Karasu should stat in the midfield tbh. It would be better to use Zantetsu as RWB and Chigiri as LWB. Chigiri can use his 44 panther snipe as a LWB and provide crucial defensive plays like that block on Barou in the Ubers game. Zantetsu was shown to have that golden zone like Chigiri in the 1st Selection, but on the right side using his left foot. He can also act as a supporting attacking option by making overlapping runs, bursting thru the flank and providing link up play like how he is doing for PXG.

What I would change in that lineup is Chigiri obv to the left wing. Karasu in defensive midfield instead of Reo, also Reo is an amazing bench player since he can replace many positions. I would also keep Barou on the bench as a wildcard along with Shidou and would put Nagi on the wing, although it would be the right wing since Chigiri can run up to the left wing anyway, Hiyori on the right back could give some killer passes to Nagi on right wing, so both wings open up possibilites and the center is dominated by Sae and Karasu easily.

Coming fresh off a fun career mode in Football manager 24 using a blue lock data set, I would like to suggest some other takes as well. Going for a 4222 Option Gagamaru of course in goal. I agree with Aiku as main CB and Niko as his partner, their chemistry of wanting to destroy strikers could be nice to see. I agree with Chigiri as right back but would put someone faster with more dynamic on the left side. Not sure if Hiyori fits that role but I wouldn't chose Karasu on that spot. Instead I think someone like Yukimiya could work here better I think even Kurona could work as well and better as Karasu who I think of more of a defensive midfielder. The two midfielders would be Karasu with a more defensive role and Sae as some sort of box to box player, he showed that he can do a lot, with and against the ball. Also having the center role is perfect for him as a playmaker as well. Right wing with Bachira makes sense and I also like the inclusion of Barou on the left wing. He's an incredible dribler as well and while Bachira could be more of a dribbler/assisting winger, Barou would be more offensively thinking. And yeah then its of course Isagi and Rin as strikers. I remember years ago doing a captain tsubasa career where I was wondering who even would be good enough to start. And here I'm sad that I have to leave out Guys like Nagi, Reo, Hiyori, or Shidou as they all make good cases to play.

I would say Ego will have multiple team compositions ready for each match to reduce predictability. Something like: Team Comp 1: Isagi, Rin, Barou, Bachira Team Comp 2: Shidou, Sae, Nagi, Reo Even if there's an enemy team that watches all of Blue Lock's matches, they couldn't anticipate who they're going to face during the match as Ego could switch up players easily. This has to be done before each match starts though, as I doubt the world cup has unlimited substitution system.

Regarding the composition of the under-20s. Isagi said about the theory of victory over Noel Noah and I think that this is a team of metausers. Those who already have metavision or those who can potentially get this skill. With Gagamaru it is clear. Although he is not a metauser, he is a good goalkeeper. Then a pair of central defenders ubers Aiku and Niko. Left defender reo because of versatility on the right kuron. The midfield trio on the left Itoshi Sae, in the center Karasu, on the right Hiyori. In attack on the left Nagi, on the right Itoshi Rin, and in the center Isagi. During the narration Isagi developed his theory. In the match with ubers this is a combination of 2 players - the best + the best. In the match with psg the combination became 3 people for a goal. There may not be such a composition at the World Championship, but combinations where players are used and each time there will be more and more combinations of players this is the future of the manga blue lock.

Just one comment for kiyora for left back, Kiyora matchup has been shown very nicely against nagi in Nagi spinoff manga, where nagi was also highly impressed by kiyora moves and much potential is yet to be seen in main manga run, let's see in upcoming chapters might be he would be a great asset in final goal of bastard vs pxg game. And Karasu and Kiyora are better picks for world XI, Karasu at place of Reo and for left back maybe kiyora or Hiori. As we have seen Hiori still can developed more. For Left wing Nagi is better as we saw in manga panel he realises that still his ego is left after talking to rin and whereas Barou and Shidou are always better for sub ins to change the flow of the game fully. What id envision is a 4 2 3 1 with 2 CDMs and a CAM I agree that Gagamaru is the best keeper CBs would be Niko and Aiku with Body and Mind similar to the short Cannavaro for Niko and Maldini for Aiku whos more physical. 2 FBs would be Chigiri on the right because hes right legged and Hiori on LB cuz he can link up well with... 2 CDMs with Karasu on the left to link with Hiori and has beautiful stealing ability as well as Itoshi Sae who plays CDM and is a great passer who can work up the ball like a busquets. 2 Wingers would be Bachira on the left cuz hes practically neymar and on the right id actually have Rin who's curve shots and trivella be very useful for the lack of left legged players in blue lock. On the Striker id have Shidou and on CF id have Isagi. with barou on the bench as a wild card similar to the japan u20 game

I'd switch Reo and Karasu. I personally think some characters have more potential but currently other than the Reo/Karasu blunder it's solid. I'd never think about putting Barou in the starting lineup as he's not a top 3 striker and isn't cooperative. I was surprised at the logic that that's a strength instead of a weakness. Since blue lock has always depicted sae as a rival to blue lock, an obstacle to be surpassed especially for rin, would it make more sense for sae to be playing for Spain perhaps in the u-20 world cup? This is the best 11 for me IMO GK: Gagamaru, easily the best u20 gk we've seen no duh choice LB: Chigiri, fast as fuck, able to play a decent defense being able to predict sae's pass to shidou in u20 and block one of barou's shots in manshine v ubers. enough stamina and speed to play up and down the pitch and has pinpoint shooting and passing LCB: Aiku, easily the second best u20 cb and the perfect captain to anchor the team. metavision, physicality, jumping, all you could ask for in a CB RCB: Aryu, i think that while niko does have good prediction, in a battle of physicality aryu wins. aiku can already direct the back line of defense like karasu did during u20 and i think aryu's physicality will play a better part in the team than niko's metavision. RB: HEAR ME OUT Otoya. I get that he fell off hard but I'm PRAYING that he gets some development. if not then imma have to go hiori, good defense w metavision and good ball movement with his passing and dribbling that we saw v ubers CDM: Sae. Best u20 cm has good prediction and best passing that we've seen so he can easily move the ball up with his passing and dribbling. another big thing with the cdm role is ball retention which sae does really well with his reactive dribbling. if need be he can also transition into an attacking role. LCM: ANOTHER HEAR ME OUT Nagi. I get that he ALSO fell off hard but his trapping, creative passing, and general ability to move to ball in seemingly impossible situations is impressive. The fact that he is surrounded by quality just makes it easier for him to play. If not switch Sae to LCM and put Karasu in CDM. RCM: Bachira. He has great dribbling and passing as well as being able to link up with otoya. he has shown immense creativity with his passes and dribbles and can easily be the attacking mid. LW: Barou, I see this team as more of a cut in and score team and barou's chop dribbles make him dangerous inside of the box where he can just cut in and blast off a shot. He also has the best predator eye we've seen in the series and has a stupid consistent shot and strong physicality. He doesn't seem to be super fast but thats fine when he can just hunt rin and isagi and recieve dime passes from sae. He has also shown insane tenacity tracking up and down the field to play offense and defense RW: Main character Isagi yoichi. He would have the perfect link with bachira and possibly hiori and already plays right side on BM. obviously he has probably the best metavision we've seen in the series and could link up so well with nagi, bachira, hiori, sae, chigiri, and rin. Pseudo ambidexterity and great stats overall ST: Blue lock's best striker for now, Rin Itoshi. Destroyer mode clears. Even without it Rin's oppresive skill is something hard to pass up especially when he's receiving passes from sae and bachira. Obviously shidou deserves a mention but i still believe that the rest of the team would have a harder time linking up with shidou. IDK tho shidou has less aversion to working with others if they can make him explode which, with the skill level on the team, i wouldnt find a hard task.

I See 2 big fails in your formation, Karasu at LB and Barou at the midfield. Karasus bag is practically useless if he gets relegated to the wings, he is all about coordinating from the center and starting counterattacks, which you totally negate at that position. Then barou in the midfield for once goes totally against his character, and will most definitively abandon his position to try to steal the ball and score. The best position for him is as a Sub, since he is not better than rin or isagi, and cant play any other position on the pitch. Even then i have my doubts if he will ever play since Shidou is on the bench too, and we have seen he (shidou) can work as a team with other strikers, as well as having Sae on the team which drastically improves his game. That being said, i think this is the best formation possible for U-20: Gk: Gagamaru Rb: Chigiri CB: Aiku CB: Niko: Lb: Zantetsu Cdm: Karasu Cm: Hiori Cm: Bachira Cam: Sae St: Isagi St: Rin The idea is a diamond midfield formation with a defensive midfielder and an Offensive midfielder. I think bachira as a Cm is a Hot take, but just out of chemistry and talent alone i cannot NOT include him in the formation, he is an excellent passer, arguably the best counterattacker on the U-20 and links up perfectly with Isagi if needed. I thought of putting reo too for his versatility but as some pointed out even if he is a better defender and as good of a passer, he is way too centered on Nagi, which limits his linkups with other players too much, though im still thinking about it purely for fit and cause nagi wont be on the starting eleven.
