Slip floats and ice jigs with wax worms. Tried and true the googan tungsten putty works way better than split shots don't damage line and you just put it right on the line and take it off

You know what is super underrated for pan fish? A drop shot with a small minnow type bait. I crush crappie on a drop shot with a little 3.75” Z Man, Streak Z. 🤔

Great video! Shows that a lot of times down sizing can get you a bunch of fish you might not have caught with larger lures. I've had days fishing a road runner ad/or other small jigs and "swim" baits where I caught bluegill and other sunfish, crappie, catfish (really) AND bass up to 4 lbs.!

Many of your festive cookout foods work. For hot dogs, the cheaper the better as they have more misc. parts and fat in them so the smell is not something they can swim away from. Then a can of corn is how you go really cheap fishing. One kernel, maybe two if you are feeling generous on your hook. I went fishing with other girls from school and I was the only one who would touch worms, minnows and the fish that were caught and they brought a can of corn to fish with. It worked!!! It worked on the most simple line and a hook, nothing fancy, just a plain hook.

Sorry Logan but that first panfish you caught was not a bluegill, it was a redear sunfish sometimes known as a shellcracker.

Logan you caught bass because you was on the boat I think you will catch more bluegill a lot more bluegill from the bank no kayak no boat ring the same pan fishing kit and just fish it from shoreline

I disagree as I have panfished for over 35 yrs. I think the boat placement matters as being in the deeper parts of a lake will not be where the panfish are. They won't be coming to the surface in the sun in the middle of a lake where large fish are present. You must learn how to read a lake as the water or how it moves and the weed growths will tell you where certain types of fish are. In a boat going to small coves on a larger lake would be so many panfish that a family member never got their pole in because I would put my pole in and get another panfish and it would go on like this for 30+ min as they tend to travel in schools. Fishing just outside the weedline from the shore is where some good panfish are as they hide in the weeds and you want to get close enough to have your line be a bit shaded and in the dark and lure them out, but not so close you get tangled in the weeds. Watch your weedlines and your depths. I never exited the weedline by a good 40 feet this past week on a shallower lake overall and I still got two bass fishing from a dock where my cousins kids were swimming earlier and I can almost touch the bottom of the area I caught them with my feet. I was using worms and not rigged for bass in any way.

True I guess but there is areas which higher chances of catching panfish then smaller bass it would be cool if went to like a small river or something like doc's because pan fish like those and used that tackle box

@@Taking_nap7102 When he said he didn't know about Pan Fishing and then I watched what he grabbed I truly believed him. I agree that there are areas of the lake where panfish live and areas they very much avoid, like the center of a body of water with any depth as it has the larger fish there. Fishing from a dock is generally all that is needed or shore. We do control what eats the lure because as much as some of those plastics were "pretty" some are actually meant for muddier waters and some for clearer waters by the colors they are. We control where we fish. We control the time of day and what day as the barometric pressures, think just before or after a storm, greatly affect fish, as does heat. If I want panfish I would prefer a more overcast day instead of 85 degrees or more and a dock. Done. If I am in a boat for panfish then I stay at the edge of the weedine from the shore and don't go to the middle of the lake.
