I’m a 60 yo bjj blue belt and would encourage younger warriors to never lose sight of mobility, cardio and strength in that order My carrier and hobbies have always requires strength and cardio so it’s not often I’m destroyed on the mat by strength it’s usually mobility then cardio As a 30:year firefighter paramedic on a tactical response team imo lack of cardio depletes strength in high stress situations. Mobility is a skill at any age recovering it is harder than maintaining it. Lastly, adrenaline cardio is not the same as exercise cardio so mental toughness becomes an intricate part of real life fight or flight situations

100% Mobility can be hard to gain back once lost... Easy to maintain if it's already there though

Can do mate, I had bad shin splits when I played Aussie Rules football, when I got into Marathons I had my shoes fitted by a company called (The running company - In Australia) and haven't had an issue since. When my athltes are getting into distance work I always send them that way and have them roll their feet reguarly on a hard lacrosse ball. Hopefully there is simialar experts in your area.

Greetings from the USA. Great video, I'd certainly be interested in hearing more from you in this area. I'm a training officer in my department in several areas and it would be great to have a resouce to point people for solid information. You've got a sub and I look forward for some of this related content!

@@royalefitness I'm interested in building quads a bit more, but am hung up on belt squats vs leg press. Trying to boost my rucking capabilities and my quads seem to be a weak point for me right now.
@royalefitness9 ай бұрын
I prefer belt squats, sled drags and sled pushed for quads -- even belt squat marching is fantastic too... Nothing will beat rucking though to improve your rucking!!@@Hermit_of_the_Holler

@royalefitness strength and mobility through the hips and shoulders would be great. We've had a lot of injuries this past year with shoulders, and I think generally we could be more dynamic through the hips/lower body

Where should you start when you’ve destroyed your body from years of rugby? Feel like I start training hard and then boom past injury de rails that
@user-ki8zf1rp1e5 ай бұрын
I'm no fitness expert but I think Tactical Barbell 3rd Edition and Tactical Barbell 2: Conditioning by K. Black is what you're looking for. VERY flexible when it comes to implementing strength and conditioning workouts. If injuries are of frequent occurrence I'd seek professional help first and then apply the remedies alongside or before the Tactical Barbell 'routines'. The Base Building in book one may help your body get back into the groove of things.

Despite various young people all over the country doing this the elephant in the room is that it particularly affects birmingham because of the muslims population. It is human nature for young people to want to explore with things like this but if your culture demonises alcohol/cannabis/psychedelics then the loophole around that is taking weird unregulated substances like nitrous oxide. The Muslim population has done well to avoid many of the social issues attached to drinking but if you are avoiding that to drive around sucking on vapes and balloons like crackheads (which has lead to several road accidents) you are no better and if anything much worse than somebody having a wine with dinner or a pint with their sunday roast.
