Woah mama! Our initial preorder of those Black Metal MWM logo t-shirts and hoodies sold out. We have allowed orders again, but we can't guarantee pre-Christmas delivery on these as it'll be a new batch. There's still a chance, but we don't want to overpromise. Here are the links, in case you want one! Don’t just throw away the resin blocks! Clean them up and make terrain barricades with them! It’d make a cool piece of terrain that also serves as a memorial to the massive amount of resin used. Might make a fun video too!

Honestly it's a huge reason people never get into the hobby. Compare the complexity and cost of Warhammer models to basically any other modeling hobby and it's clear they super inflate the values of minis
@thomasrevill7723

Your description of the princeps made me realise their ultimate fate is actually quite similar to that of the Emperor, entombed in a piece of arcane technology to decay as their mind lives on - that could be another reason they're held in such high regard, besides the oversized murderbot
@Bluecho4
@Bluecho4 3 жыл бұрын
It's kind of the same thing with Space Marine Dreadnaughts. A half-dead astartes, entombed in a marine to keep them alive. Not even allowing death as a release from their duty. The Imperium does this kind of thing a lot, it seems. Creating parallels between themselves and the Emperor. As above, so below, I guess.
@superchroma
@superchroma 3 жыл бұрын
I read an old 40k book where a space marine captain commandeers an old titan like it is just a standard robot. Seems like the lore has evolved on the point.
@Bluecho4
@Bluecho4 3 жыл бұрын
@@superchroma Yeah, early 40K is full of stuff that got retconned in modern 40K. For example, the Imperium used to have ubiquitous robots. Not servitors, not a few heavily controlled units in AdMech. I'm talking full blown automatons, that were just an accepted thing by humans. There were rules for playing them in 1st Edition and everything. Because GW hadn't yet decided to crib _fully_ from Dune and include a robot rebellion in the backstory that soured humanity on AIs. The Rogue Trader era was replete with worldbuilding details that were removed, or were superceded by later world-building, as the game went on.

Don't throw the offcuts into landfill! Recycle them into terrain. Those grey wedges look a lot like mini concrete barriers. A bit of trimming, sculping, and painting, and they'll look at home on an urban-themed gaming board as road debris or a hastily-formed defence line.

So, since Guy didn't have a Titan head, he got sent one by Terrainosaur. As a sign of appreciation and "repaying the debt" he donated it's retail price to parkinson's research, which is a matter close to Mitch's heart. And on top of that Guy sells the miniatures from the headpiece set he doesn't need, and is going to donate that money to the parkinson's research foundation as well. ...That's some proper "compensation" in my book. Hats off to you, Guy.

When supergluing put superglue on one contact point and dip the other contact point in bicarbonate of soda. The bicarbonate works as an activator for the superglue and it gives you an even stronger bond. Also any overspill on the joins can be filed back as it also acts as a filler.

I use my resin blocks as rubble that my venatari leap off of, instead of the plastic holders they come with. After building and painting my warlord, its quite satisfying seeing someone working through one, means i can experience the experience again, without all the work and unknowing. Mine has the Sunfury Plasma Gun, the Macro Gatling Blaster and Laser Blasters. Protected by 3 forgeworld cerastus knights, 3 imperial knights, 6 war-glaives and 20 secutarri.....in-case anything wants to and can get close.....A single warlord can span quite a narrative.

Resin off cuts etc. are collected here and used - not in land fill - but in concrete. I add it to the next load of concrete as i am building whatever the next project at the museum will be. (We have ab open air, 5 acre, 16 building museum that is undergoing a major refit and additions that include another three acres, four buildings confirmed (so far) and a large transport museum section. Eacj of these requires heaps of concrete in foundations and paths etc. so the hand mixed stuff gets the resin scrap as a part of the aggregate.
