Back in the 1980's I had a lot of trouble waking up for work so I wired an alarm clock to a car alarm siren. I just dreamt I was turning it off and couldn't understand why the noise wouldn't stop. It also woke everyone in the house but me, so that experiment failed.

i am a heavy heavy sleeper, i had a chinese phone with the loudest speaker, i had set up glass shattering as my alarm ringtone, it was so loud, it would wake up everyone but me, then everyone would come up to my room and wake me up lol, then i bought one of the loudest alarm clock, couldn't do the job, my brother got pissed off and broke it, now i am making myself an arduino based alarm clock that will spray water at my bed, hope this one works, fingers crossed

You could make it without circuit by using a bell and a hammer as a switch. You would get nice PWM (Pulse width modulation) output for the coil of a car horn.

You'd need a whole air compressor for that. A siren would work better since it only needs electricity

Could get a train horn and an air compressor to power it. Rig it so that you have to physically get up and cross the room to turn it off. If that doesn't get you out of bed, nothing will. Might also wake up everyone else in the house, and maybe your neighbors. But hey, at least you will be awake!

I would rather have the RAMOS clock. The d-d-d-ding ding ding sound is just as annoying but, does not cause permanent hearing damage and forces you to leave your bedroom to turn it off by putting in the date or an RNG code into the keypad.

Hi Angelo I wonder if you could help me, I'm trying to develop a weighing scales that has a built-in max and minimum alarm. let me explain I'm in the process of setting up a weight loss business and I don't want my patients to be able to see their weight. Ideally what I want is for them to stand on the weighing scales and if they go over a preset maximum weight an alarm will go off and similarly if they go below a preset weight an alarm will go off.
