I rarely get to watch on Twitch, so more tuning over here on youtube is appreciated.

His streams get saved on Twitch for some time so you can watch them whenever you want. That's what I've been doing for the streams I can't watch live

Yes please use this format, such valuable info from just one video. Maybe something a bit more in depth about tuning because FM8 really needs to be tuned to get any good feeling from the cars.

The braking issue is a combination of weight transfer / your braking balance / front anti-roll bars. Probably best adjusting the ride height / suspension geometry (increase rear height) to increase oversteer and then increase your front anti-rollbar stiffness. Might benefit from anti-dive as well, but need to really look at the suspension to validate it actually needs it. It could be that it's too stiff so the wheels are lifting off without using the full front suspension, or too soft where it's bottoming out in the front and then the rears lift off.

I've built a car like this one but as a rallycross tune. I also built one for normal racing. Both of them use 4wd. It seems to turn easier if you lower the spring stiffness and the anti rollbar front and rear. Good tune you built to!

really wish they'd keep A class around permanently; there's so many cars that are viable around different tracks. I'd at least take some non-racecar division rotations.

Hello RACEBOY, how are you doing!? I hope very well! First I want to tell you that I am your fan!! I wanted to ask if you would make a KZbin video explaining how to know where to put the final drive in the gearbox. In other words, when to put the final drive short and when to put the final drive long! Thank you very much in advance and keep uploading videos because you learn a lot!!

When you're doing the fine tuning when you get to the point where it's pretty much done you should only make one adjustment a time, if you change multiple things and it makes the car feel worse you don't know which thing you adjusted made it worse. You should change one thing at a time when fine tuning so you can change it back if you need to. If you do this you'll see a huge difference in the finished product. I know you've been tuning since Forza 4 and probably know this, when you have a time limit to get it all done to fit into a short KZbin video getting a perfect tune would be hard.

Is there some reason you didn't adjust the rebound to resolve the sketchy braking issue? I would have lowered the rebound in the rear so that it wouldn't transition so much to the front on brakes, keeping rear traction through the turn. My reasoning is that increasing the rear diff lock will make you not turn in so much into turns, while lowering the rebound will make you not turn in so much into turns and also turn shaper through and out of the turn, since your weight is more on the rear during acceleration. I did notice you put the rear rebound a bit higher than usual (over 12, you are usually around low 11's). I'm curious what you think!
@Raceboy7711 ай бұрын
The rebound wasn’t the cause of the issue. Sometimes, cars can begin feeling a little odd when messing with suspension geo, even if they’re faster. Ultimately, it’s finding the balance to get the most pace.
@BlakeEM11 ай бұрын
@@Raceboy77 That is what I'm saying, you changed it from majority rebound in front (stock), to majority rebound in the back (your tune), changing the geometry. I was simply saying to bring that closer to the stock ratio may have resolved the issue. That is, unless it has the issue at stock as well.
@Raceboy7711 ай бұрын
@@BlakeEM with similar adjustments but not making a rebound adjustment, the car acts similar when pushing it. The geo is what throws it off and there’s some stuff to correct it, but not everything works each time.

Why do people lower decel differential so much? It's super effective for coasting over-steer and good turn-in at low speeds.
