Hello Rori, This engine is 30 years old and Henry didnt exhist in model form. My Father who kindly made it for my 5 year old self used what he could to make me this wonderful loco. I hope that helps

Not entirely, but considering Henry’s backstory this works well as an Old Shape Henry model, before he got his rebuild.

I love the nostalgia that comes with homemade models parents made for their kids. There is so much love put into them! Even the bits that some would see as wrong, like Gordons face, add to the charm that is homemade engines.

All of my stock on the layout, I could never bring my self to sell two of my engines. My dad got me them as Christmas present 40 years ago. So I totally get the thing with Henry and your Pug loco.

Good little video, I like the idea of using a 9v batt to test run.(I will use that going forward) My lad liked the slow mo of Henry going round the track, I may have to try and get him one to keep Thomas company! Stay safe.

Hi Ron, Thanks It was fun to make. The 9v Battery was a nice solution so I could do it down stairs. I think I will get some more equipment one day but for now its enough. I think I will need to another character to keep Henry company too. Stay safe too.

Once there was an oo gauge engine named henry, he was built for a son who loved him, he was really useful, long time passes, Henry was feeling sick, he didn’t feel really useful, so the son helped henry get better, and Henry was really useful again.

Just had a thought Maybe purchase the official Bachman Henry from the Thomas line and see how a hand crafted family made Henry model compares to a official store bought model of him made from a factory . Bachmans Henry is made both in the USA and the UK in shops and online . Maybe grab one and first review it then compare it and this lovely model here . Anyways enjoy your day . And yes … Henry is my favourite engine . He shares the spot with Percy the saddle tank Cuz I have ridden behind both basis engines of them in person Trojan the saddle tank and a LMS black5 class And me being into N scale and tomix having made a henry I have always wanted … but so expensive I am in luck cuz Bachman are making both Gordon for 2026 and have confirmed a henry … YAY Anyways bye 😊

In scene 11:18 i do not no if this was meant to be but it looks exactly like that episode were Henry wasn’t feeling well because of his fire box. Once he had welsh coal he sprung to life. Like the scene I mention

my dad when he was younger had a 1985 Hormby Thomas , sadly last year it started to smoke then suddenly the motor just blew . The rest of the model was fine and now has a brand new motor and runny once again

My Dad made it using a Tri-ang chassis and the rest he used an old body which he modified it using plasticard and modeling puttey. for the tender he made the top half from scratch and used an exhisting tender chassis. Maybe I'll do another video about it oneday.

Thank you. My dad used a Triang chassis but after that he used plasti card and the tender was made using copper clad board soldered together.

I wonder if you could do a remake of a failed episode of "sad story of henry" by BBC of 1953 with this model (if you feel like making it, its ok, this is only of you feel like doing so or not) Edit: strange part of the engine is that it has a gordon's face, not saying is bad i just think is weird having gordon's face istead of henry's face :/

Hello, I wouldn’t want to on this model as it has a lot of centimental meaning to me as my Fatter man him for me. There’s part of me that would like to make my own models and would do it that way. I would regret changing something that is very precious to me.
