Wherein I continue building my WIll Myers designed Moravian Workbench, but with a few unintended alterations (read:mistakes). The legs are the focus of this installment. I deviate from the plans first by using solid 4x4 posts instead of laminating 2x6 boards, which are then cut down to 3 3/4" x 3" legs. Second, I completely forgot that one of the cross braces was a drawbore mortise and tenon joint and I cut a half blind dovetail instead. In the upcoming Part 3, I will finish a few details on the legs before chopping the through tenons in the legs AND the stretchers, shaping the keys (or tusks).
Below are the links that gave me the information and inspiration I needed to start this build.
