The largest overlooked community is a company's worker bee employees. If a mega corporation would give that same amount of time to understand their workers and improve working conditions, they could tap a goldmine of community. When an employee is mistreated, underpaid, or undervalued, they are likely to leave with a lifetime desire to never return to that establishment. And while they are sitting in that anger, they're bringing their family and friends along with it. I don't have a marketing degree yet, but I can confidently say that while I've been studying, the contrast between what actually happens in a work place and what employers choose to believe is happening are two very different things.
