8:20 I agree, scatter terrain should be asymmetrically placed on the board, leaving some areas open and some areas cluttered for tactical cover purposes (usually three or five small scatter pieces in each cluttered area). It’s a fine balance of artistic composition and war-gaming playability.

Interesting concept using that cheap underfloor matting as I have stacks of it never used and my last table idea - never finished Dave but might give yours a go, except I have Necromancer terrain and around 60 Orks to place behind suitable barricades, ready to do battle.

Some advice, if the board you're making is only going to be used a few times then go for normal plaster, after a while it chip.. but if you want it to last use Ultracal plaster, it dries super hard and will last longer, use it just the same as normal plaster. I used to make gaming tables and I always used ultracal.

this board is sick. i never thought about doiin kill team stuff on a normal battleground cause it always seems like some elite objective stuff, but this to me is awesome cause its like to me the story is the very last orks and very last kriegsman of the whole war on the planet goin at it for one last charge, OR SCRAP, to see who wins long after the impirium has abandoned the planet and the rest of the orks have fled to lick there wounds

Okay this looks really good. Only thing I would suggest isn't so much a board thing as maybe add an overhead light system to a cradle for the board, attach a color change light or two and suddenly you can have night games, a red flare bathed battlefield or even a toxic smog or cloud of Ork spores if you use a greenish yellow light
