The Governor was more relatable yes but they are both amazingly complex and human characters. The best way I would describe what Negan is... he is a hardened survivalist and manipulator with a god complex. He clearly was a troubled person before the apocalypse and with the downfall of society he realized that people like him... with his skill set and charisma, the own the world. People need a god. They need an idol, a deity to look up to and fear. And people need rules. Rick and Negan are kind of two sides of that. Rick is a reasonable and caring leader of a smaller, closer nit and easier to maintain group. Negan is a brutal and commandeering leader of a much larger group that is very hard to feed and control. They both have done terrible things to keep people alive. Just Negan is very much more confident and capable. Rather than working and reasoning he takes command of everything. He has his security in the amount of control he has.

It's really cool if you are aware of your weak spots and personality, if you are actually able to reflect what makes you so uncomfortable, angry or whatever about a fictional character and what is it that irritates you that much, causing that big of reaction. If one has the ability to reflect, it can be really interesting and even helpful. That's it with most of these relatable characters or anti heroes. I agree with Jeffrey on his Negan persona. Rick and the group killed about actually 40-50 of his people and all Negan had to do was kill 2 of Rick's in return in a pretty brutal way. I can't forget any of his words in the speech he gave to Rick's group. "I do not appreciate you killing my men. Also, when I sent my people to kill your people for killing my people, YOU killed more of my people. Not cool, not cool. You have NO IDEA how not cool that shit is." And so it's like Rick and the group can't accept that or see his point there. As much as the group has struggled surviving dangerous people, a lot of them not bad people, this is where they screwed up and fought a battle that wasn't their own to begin with and consequentially underestimated the Saviors. On the other hand, Negan coulda made it easier for them by picking the least popular dude in the group to kill or figuring out who will snap when he picks the wrong person or examining each character's subservience. And he is a little too passive in the demands to other communities and Rick's group is the one that will take him down. Sooner or later, Rick's group will have no other choice but to be a little villainous themselves

The first time I watched this interview, I was so happy that he actually gave an explanation for that leaked Maggie death scene, then he said someone else died and I heard from a spoiler source that Aaron was the other one he killed in that particular take. just tuned in great interview, great self disclosure, the behind scenes action is most probably the stuff of legends. Negen and Rick are amazing together, Rick does outshine Negen in his ability to sink to the absolute bottom and is never never ever not believable. TMV Acting was taken to a new level by Andrew Lincoln, long may you run Andy.

He is really such a good, sweet guy. And really funny! A great actor aswell, I am so glad he was picked for the role of Negan. It's interesting, mesmerizing even, to watch him in this role of one of the biggest bads TWD has seen so far; but I hope fans remember to separate the character from the actor haha.

JDM rockin it as Negan. Its just too bad the show is starting to lose viewership this season. I can understand why. all key players have been cut out most of the first half so heres hoping the 2nd half drastically changes. Other than the ratings have been; i've been loving this season. JDM is pure gold of TWD.
