As a white woman I have to say that I really love the show and I don't get why people are so butthurt about it and go hatefully trolling others (but I don't get hatefull trolling in general ;) ). It is a great show which just shows real problems of both sides of the curtain. It makes me think a lot about issues in the world that black people have to face and about my own behavior. Can't wait for season 3.

I never heard a women use the term( but hurt) I can see as a black man why some people may not like the show maybe white people are tried getting all of the blame for the problems of black community .Why should white americans be sympathetic to a group of people that they themselves did nothing to,IT is completely evil to profile any group base off race. Dear white people is a racist show,because all white people are not racist which this show implies that all white people have a racist agenda. I watch the show and I like the show.However I except that the AA community is a very racist. Also all black people don't share the same experiences !!!!!!!!!

John Homes umm looks are subjective. Just because YOU think she is the best looking I don’t !
@MARTHAS_TAKE6 жыл бұрын
John Homes lol because I find the other women more beautiful I’m insecure? Do you see how crazy you are ? In your small mind there is no way darker skinned women can be more beautiful without some agenda ? Additionally do you see all these other comments praising Logan ?? but met me guess you have no issue with that. Your issue is not about exclusion your issue is about exclusion of light skinned people.
@MARTHAS_TAKE6 жыл бұрын
John Homes save your pseudoscience it’s not working here the other women are more beautiful than her ! I never called her ugly & the fact it gets people like you to write essays about it says a lot!

OH Hello Girl he or she sounds mad dumb. I think all three are beautiful but Ashley and Antoinette are just so gorgeous to me. The only agenda there is is the agenda of keeping light skins above dark skins. Now that dark skin women are loving themselves ppl like this troll don’t want that and gaslight dark skin women by calling them jealous.

I watched season 2 in 2 days and I LOVE IT! Much better than season 1, which wasn't bad at all. Season 2 really tackled different issues and dynamics and felt more real to me. All 3 of these queens are beautiful and played their characters extremely well.

Does the show address other issues? For example, the struggles that light skinned Black women and Biracial (half black and half white) women face? I hope so. This would be reason enough to give the show a try.
@emmanuellaandoh80116 жыл бұрын
thestars .night yes it does cover issues that light skinned black women face as well as dark skinned black women. All throughout the season her struggles along with Everyone else’s is brought up again and again so it’s not like they just quickly brush over these issues either. Me being a dark skinned women i personally can’t relate to “the light skinned struggle” but this series definitely clarified what it’s like being light skinned and another benefit is you will also learn how life is like being of darker color as well. I think this show will definitely intrigue most audiences and teach them new issues that black people face as a whole.

Lets talk about it but Logan is the lead..
@roxxylala266 жыл бұрын
Also the debate which is fascinating.. do you represent yourself as a black actor or as just an actor who happens to be African American. I felt Antoinette & Ashley had 2 takes on it. I feel that yes you are a black actress which is evident buuut what more are you and/or can represent about this character you're about to interpret. To agree w. Antoinette we are multi layered humans NOT to take away from anyone's ethnicity or culture, Ashley at the end of the day if you want more roles, you just kinda pigeon holed yourself w. only one representation of yourself.

College was not about self-discovery for me. I don't know where they get that cliche shit from like it applies to all people. Already knew everything I wanted and know about myself when I went. Also I'm from the south too, but we don't do sugar in our grits.
@chimcham67626 жыл бұрын
S-wo So you didn’t discover anything new in college about yourself? About how you retain information, or how social you are or discovered new passions you never knew or had difficult times that taught you about how you handle situations? Interesting. University was great for me! I was a teenager who was growing up and moving out for the first time. I discovered a part of myself but not my complete self as that journey is still going on. I immersed myself fully into the uni experience and I found it truly enriching, eye opening and expensive 😩😂😂 I guess we all experience things differently
@KeishaCharmaine6 жыл бұрын
If you didn’t learn new things about yourself or the world while away at college then you did it wrong imo

Why do I get the feeling of a small dose of tension between Logan & Ashley? Is it cause one's a light skin biracial sister & the other is a dark skin sister? Btw Antoinette clearing up she's not gay..damnn (lmfao) kinda harsh the way it came out but respected.
@KeishaCharmaine6 жыл бұрын
roxxylala26 if that’s the case then why no tension btw Antoinette and Logan? I didn’t sense any tension at all.
@Brittanychampion906 жыл бұрын
i don’t see any tension between them and if there is tension, why is it automatically racial? They all seem like good friends
@roxxylala266 жыл бұрын
Brittanychampion90 Well, I sensed it when they were each explaining "colorism" in the black community.
@cranesinthesky12406 жыл бұрын
roxxylala26 because it’s an angsty subject? When I discuss colourism with my mixed race friend things CAN get tense. Doesn’t mean that the friendship isn’t real
