Installing Kayak Paddle Keeper

I installed one of these on mine and my wife's kayak. I'm a lefty so I did mine on the left side and my wife's on the right side. A convenient, unintended side effect is that when we come up along side each other we can attached our chords to the other's hook, and we are then locked in and can float along side-by-side for a while. Great for breaking out lunch whilst floating along.

I think I'll try some rubber hose like a 3-inch piece at either end and that way I can just slip the paddle into that

It's super handy! Me and my wife usually stop to eat a quick snack while kayaking, It gets the paddle out of your way with out it floating off lol
