Used to do loads of Geometric paths years ago, used to screed the path, trowel over neat liquid cement while screed still damp, and tap tiles straight in. Last forever. And im sure Greg will know, some borders are very complex so to keep the corners looking neat with whole squares or triangles, somewhere halfway along the border there is a little 'fiddle'. Greg will know what im talking about! Whenever i walk past a geometric path, be it 100 years old or 5, i can't help but look for the 'fiddle'.

It’s really nice to see someone taking so much pride in perfecting there work with such a nice tile 👌🏼👏🏼 Also here’s a question for Greg. What bathroom anti mould sealant would you recommend for bathrooms? I’ve had to redo my twice in three years 😡 I’ve used tec7 and unibond both anti mould and both have started to mould each time. They’ve been white in colour but could be grey or clear also? Any advice would be appreciated 👍🏼
@BuildWithAE4 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul thanks for your kind words, Greg has a passion for tiling as I have for wood. Reference Silicon question I would use Mapei or Dow Corning in the colour required we will also speak to Greg and see what he thinks, thanks for watching all the best Tony 👍 have a awesome weekend
@gregneale44554 жыл бұрын
Hi Paul. I totally agree with Tony on this one. The problem with mold can also occur because of the way the sealant is applied. Ie licking a finger to smooth the seal of. Try using Window lean instead and a silicone tool. Hope this helps Greg
@paulthompson54164 жыл бұрын
Thanks Tony & Greg for your reply’s 🤷🏼♂️ holding my hands up here because from memory it was a finger with a little soapy water 🤦🏼♂️ What I’ll do is get a little silicone tool/ windolene and try either mapei or dow this time round and hopefully get more that a year out of it!! But sure by the time I get the silicone issue sorted she’ll be looking it done again 😂😂😂 usual story🤦🏼♂️ keep up the great work guys you all seem to have a great passion for your work and it’s a pleasure to watch “proper” tradesmen doing the job right. Also nice to see a tiler not using the tile box as spacers 😂😂 fuk me I’ve worked with some butchers😆
@acidlumin4 жыл бұрын
@@paulthompson5416 as well as the other suggestions (use a tool, no dirty fingers), as soon as you see a bit of mould starting, squirt some thick bleach on it and it’ll be gone in a few hours
