That is absolutely the right attitude to have when it comes to safety with the driver compartment - "There's a lot of places we can save a pound, but the driver seat isn't one of them". Having a car that goes this fast is just a completely different level than a 10 sec drag car or even an 8.50 cage. The forces that unfold when one of these cars crash at 220+ are just insane and you have to account for that when you build the foundation. It's great to know you stand firm on the thicker tube as a matter of principle. This cage is a work of art.

I've said once before here on this channel and it seemed to cause alot of controversy but the quality of engineering done at BLISTERING speed is jaw dropping to watch. Absolutely incredible and a testament to their abilities. It feels really good to see these videos come out because I had so many people tell me I was wrong about Garretts new car that he was building to replace Mullet. It's pretty much the only way forward. He was literally competing with pro mods. Now Garrett can not only compete but WIN! You all know how competitive Cleetus is. lol he will race you in ANYTHING. This car will be on the road in no time. I bet it will be done before his helicopter is finished. So cool to watch this process and to know that his competition is probably watching the build process too and thinking oh no I may have to build my own or back out lol.

Definitely an outstanding level of attention to detail even going above and beyond spec in some areas, which is a good thing. Our boy Cleetus/Garret is going to be as snug as a bug in a rug in this monster. They show that safety of the driver is their number one concern and not just going fast. Thank you for showing us what goes into a build like this and it's been great following along. The level of craftsmanship going into this job is definitely a cut above. They are showing us why and just how challenging builds at this level of competition are. These men have an amazing amount of patience, (dedication to their craft), that is not often seen and as he said it's easy to take away but not so much to add it back on. Just as life is easily lost but there's one Man in history who took it back to Himself, He conquered sin and death for us all. Romans 10:9 Take care and God Bless...
