What kind of material would you recommend for the Microtech?

I know it being an otf it has to be built for the conditions but I had rather see Micarta or a rough textured milling. The chamfered lines just aren't grippy to me to use in a combat or first responders use. Think both are going to be messy. Thank Lou for checking it out

Bought one for my wife that has our wedding date as it's "born on date" that's the only reason I bought it. Great knife just overpriced, in my opinion.
