Junior got his McLaren 570S Spider to rip at Buttonwillow, but we convinced him to try out the tarmac. Sure it’s stock, but a stock supercar has stuff like gull wing doors, Pirelli tires, paddle shifting and 600hp at the crank. Tim resurrected a blown out Dodge pickup from his yard by swapping in a fresh Cummins diesel inline 6, fabricating a compound turbo system, and pushing through over 100 pounds of boost. They are so invested in getting close finishes that the point of racing is lost. The point of racing is to see who is faster. If one person gets weird advantages then it doesn't matter who is faster! I really wish they would choose race types that favor the underdog rather than making the playing field uneven. change the race length, do a roll start or something but keep it the same between racers.

As a 2005 ram owner im proud this 3rd gen 06 was giving that supercar a huge run for its money.furthermore i can say that the ram let off at the end of the run allowing the McLaren to come round to finish first.

You're wrong. How you couldn't hear the boost already built up before him setting off is insane. When you see it blowing all that black smoke 30 feet into the air, then it's on boost. No boost lag, guy did nothing wrong. He let off on both the first and third match. Second one he didn't see the hand drop. Compound turbo setup, that thing builds boost very fast. so no boost lag here. Not that I saw anyway. He was on boost before the hand drop all three times.
