Your music absolutely riveted me. It takes me back to a time in my life in Kenya. I had just completed a 100 mile trek through the northern desert with some Rendile guides. At Lake Turkana, the end of our journey, we set up a camp and sat by the fire when five Samburu warriors on their walk-about like journey joined us. At one point, these young men stood around and behind us and began chanting in rhythmic cadences that literally made my hair stand-up and left my body in waves of shivers. I’d never had music reach in and affect me so deeply and personally. Your music too opens up doors into the emotional body that is hard to find in today’s world. Without even understanding the language it makes me start imagining a story. It makes me feel and start asking questions. It also gives me hope and awe that humans are capable of such magic. If there was ever an argument about multiculturalism, you, sir, should be one of its ambassadors. In short, a “BRAVO” is well deserved.
