Bukusu circumcision culture speaks volumes, it's a culture of brave warriors and special from WESTERN part of Kenya it is only for real African men who can stand alive knife cut!!! Long live my culture.

We as African American Just recently found out about our Nigerian and Kenyan roots. Specifically Luhya on the Kenyan side and Ensa on the Nigerian side. Wonderful to discover.

As a Ethiopia from the South this culture is very beautiful 😍 . I Also notice that their is less drumming and more rattling beats and strings that are commonly used in Omotic music . The connections are crazy !

I'm not a bukusu but where I grew up we never differentiated cultures hii kitu ilkua tamu kuimba na kufuata anytime I go home and it's the season lazima nifuate kesi badae I love this

When you were transforming from childhood to adulthood. Those days before you had undergone the passage of rights. Any lady, even small girls will refer to you as kid, "ona huyu mtoto" the only way to overcome this was to go thru the cut.
