One more comment...from a purely aesthetic perspective: this watch is prettier than the royal oak and the nautilus. The proportions and symmetry are impeccable.

Thanks for the very detailed review. It's a piece that I'm interested in. I agree that the design is much better than the new Octo Roma which is too plain for my liking. Also this has the same design as the original Gerald Genta watch. This is essentially the same case as an Octo Finissimo but beefier. Having seen the Finissimo in person, I think it's almost comically thin.

I agree the finnismo is like a toy watch, too slinky for 10 grand. I tried both on and I went with this model the 38mm but In an even rarer configuration. I ended up buying the 38 in ss/ rose gold model . The color contrast of the two tone band is superb, it's like a disco ball. The only issue I have is that my hands are very large and the 38 wears just a bit small for me, but it's too rare to give up yet. I might think about selling it at some point, but there is only a handful available In the world online. For what I paid 2019 model you cannot beat it. It's a very unique look half retro 80s and yet modern serpentine design, and ontop of it it was a genta design. In all honesty these watches are very rare and hopefully will go up in value soon. You can find a hundred submariners but good luck finding these for half the price. I recommend , I've owned everything from platinum presidents to other high ends, and this watch is almost in those categories. Cheers

Good review but I have a couple of friendly suggestions for you to consider when doing future videos. Watch reviews are woefully incomplete if they omit vital specs like thickness and lug to lug distance. You're holding it in your hand, man--measure the damn thing! 😊Also, when doing a wrist shot, consider pulling your shirt sleeve completely away from the watch. This will provide a much better contextual view of the watch and give the viewer a better idea of how it wears on the wrist. Thanks for posting.

Thank you for the feedback! I pride myself in my ad lib manner, never any notes, I hate scripted reviews. But I agree a happy medium might be in order.

The watch is really good but just too much space between bazel and case turned me off a little... Rest.. Love it, sunburst blue dia, bracelet.... Etc

Solotempo and roma are not the same shape case. The Solotempo, the octo L'original, and the octo finissimo do all have the same case shape.
