maybe consider checking out "Buzludja" -it's abandoned place and literally every western newspaper had written about it...in cyrillic (to help with google searches): Бузлуджа

24 secs nice house over your shoulder,a bit more modern if that's ya thing...a lot of fruit trees....4.00+ you can see the walls been scored ready for next coating.....the round brush at the end is for cob or daub walls maybe....GRT house for someone willing to get stuck in....

Looks like they've put wood sheeting over the original wooden beams on the ground floor, remove that and it'll look like an old tavern...4.12 you can see the original walls haven't been finished,lime plaster and lime paint....last another plus amount of years...

Why the abandoned it?

When communism came most people were offered jobs in the city. So most people left the villages to live in the city at that time to make money. And now there are abandoned houses all over the country.

Most people wanted freedom not in the Bulgarian cities but to live in Western Europe and the USA because we didn't have what the Western world had back in the 80s. Gipsy people steal and have more rights and attack native Bulgarians and the police can't do a damn thing. Laws in Bulgaria are ineffective. A car accident on a road end with a young child losing his/her life and the killer(99% is drunken, uses drugs and has purchased his license) gets 4-6 years of prison and gets released after two. You visit a nightclub to have fun and you see a good-looking girl and decide to talk to her. Then local gangs surround you, beat the s**** out of you and eventually stab you. Your child is a girl who's getting bullied by others and gets abused by a gipsy at the age of 14-16. Then again no one cares about those people. That's a small portion of the problems this country has. That's why you will see ghost villages. No one wants to work in the field anymore. Nobody wants to live a simple life. Those who do this are less than 1%. Cheap houses you can find, but it's not worth buying because none of these problems has solutions.
