Amazing watching the fluctuating fortunes EAA & A44 a true classic battle of giants.

It really was a tight match up, for sure. The finals are looking to be rather anticlimactic.

Really surprised Enemy Action Ardennes didn't have a decisive victory!
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
It couldn’t have been much closer, crazy how tight that one was.

What a ride! Great concept and execution! 🍻 Looking forward to the grand finale!

Thanks! It’s been a lot of fun to do too. :)

Thank you for covering all of these games over the weeks. I've played some of these and some I've only heard. I'm definitely going to pick up Enemy Action Ardennes due to the solo gameplay

My pleasure! It's been a fun ride, and I hope you enjoy Enemy Action Ardennes!

Hahaha! Really? That’s about as far off as you can get. :)

As much as I like Last Blitzkrieg, I got to go with Ardennes 44. Simonitch is a genius.
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
Can't go wrong with either of these games, for sure! A matter of preference as opposed to quality. :)

Wow! Good thing for you I forgot to vote. I would have voted for Enemy Action Ardennes. You'd have had to think up a tiebreaker! I continue to be mystified by the love for BCS. I guess I'm going to have to give in another try. I must have missed something. Now I wish I hadn't sold my copy. 🙂
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
Haha! I had a plan if they were tied. I was going to send all 3 to the finals. :)

That's funny. That was my first thought as well! @@ZillaBlitz

Thank you for the Bronze Star competition. It means that I can vote for my top two games: EAA and A44.

Perfect!

Not so oddly enough, I have three of the semi-finalists. It'd be great if you could make a comparison video between the top three games. They all have something *very* different to bring to the table and are all very much appreciated. BCS LB is revolutionary in design and the scope it addresses, EAA has a superb solitaire engine, while A44 has probably the operational details and ease of play.
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
That'd be a fun video to make. A deeper look comparison of all of them would be fun, too, and I hope to play these games in 2024. Well, maybe not all of them, but at least half.

So this Final Four had controversy 😅 will the fans cry havoc about who is in the final
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
I know, right? If there have been ambiguity I was thinking to have a “Final 3” in the final.

Really surprised me. I was 0 for 2. Great series of videos.

It really has been interesting to see some of the results, for sure. And thanks! :)

The Enemy Action & Ard 44 that was amazing, It kind of a shame only 1 could win. I am curious is there a top game for a light & fast B of B game and the top detailed & realistic game?
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
I'm hesitant to say too much until I've had a chance to dig into the games, but I've heard good things about 1944 Battle of the Bulge, Celles, and Winter Thunder. I'd put all those in the light and fast category. Last Blitzkrieg for sure in the top detailed and realistic game, perhaps?
@douglaspearson48539 ай бұрын
@@ZillaBlitz I Appreciate and understand your thinking. Fair is fair. I want to check out 1944. I do have the last Blitzkrieg 1994 1st edition. I like it. In this game that had event cards which I liked. I do not know isf the new version does.
@AndyP9989 ай бұрын
Only voted if i played both games who are against each other. Popularity wins on some votes
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
Absolutely. I think all 20 of the games are fun, and by the time we got down to the last 4, there really isn't a bad choice here. Just more about what you like in a game.
@ThymeKeeper9 ай бұрын
I can't believe they don't give you vote totals. Clearly in a tie you you would have to have a three way vote or do some kind of round Robin. The world may never know :).
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
Yeah, or even just a decimal point to show the difference. You can also never “end” a poll, they just go on forever. :)
@ThymeKeeper9 ай бұрын
Like the song from The Lord of the Rings. "The poll goes ever on and on..." :)

@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
Haha! I do wish the polls had some very simple tweaks, for sure. Decimal points, show total vote numbers.
@allynvannoy47439 ай бұрын
I know it might have been difficult, but if you would have had a seating arrangement prior to voting, would the matchups have been different.
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
I somewhat did seed them based on Board Game Geek ratings, at least for the three games that had ratings over 8. But hard to tell how they would do until we do the voting. Fun times. :)

What's a "zone of control bonds system"? nvm I'll check out an older video.
@ZillaBlitz9 ай бұрын
Ah, that's a good question, thanks for asking. I should have explained that. I'll explain it in the next video, thanks. :)
@GenghisVern9 ай бұрын
Some games use ZOC to prevent movement past a unit, some to make it cost more to move past, and some (like EuroFront and Third Reich) just affect supply. There's also the question of whether or not combat is mandatory. Never heard of "ZOC Bonds" but it sounds like they're referring to the front line created by these ZOC's that prevent bypassing defenders?
@robertdelaney43329 ай бұрын
Two units in hexes with just one empty space between them form the bond. Enemy units cannot enter or pass through the bond. If the bond runs along the hex edge, enemy can enter the hex on its side of that line but not cross. If the bond cuts through the center of a hex, even better. The enemy can't enter it at all. I just started playing Salerno 43. That bond helps form a line of defense
