Duck gets it! Bulgie is the most intelligent vehicle-character in the show. He has a vision, ambition, wits, focus, master logistician, and risk-reward judgement but he's too smart for his role and makes mistakes from being too far-sighted and not seeing the immediate obstacle. When he's made just dumb and rude it misses the point of Bulgie.

TBH, this would've been a great way to give Bulgy a spotlight episode (though I love Free the Roads) though given the recent news of S21 I doubt that it would've fit into such a 26-episodic season that the crew had originally planned. S21 and S7 do feel a bit similar because of cut/slowed production history because of many buyouts and corporate meddling by executive companies like HiT/Mattel.

I didn't know you had a trainz channel. I just had the great delight of seeing this video in my recommended and sure enough I went to check it out; was not disappointed. Great story and for your first Trainz adaption this is outstanding but really I would expect no less from you. I see that this story is in part inspired by unscheduled stops (season 21) but the idea definitely works better for Bulgy especially when he can go where the engines can't. This feels like a much better use of Bulgys character too. Also very nice touch referencing the fact that Henrietta was going to be a Henhouse and understanding just how Bulgy felt. I never really thought of the two having that in common but sure enough it's a great example of world building where characters can relate more.

For your first Trainz episode, you've done superbly, dcg12b. The only things I would fix for your upcoming videos are perhaps to make some of your shots shorter, as well as downloading more of the route's missing dependencies; it looked like it was missing a lot of the trees, as well as Dryaw's footbridge.

That's quite an unusual twist, Bulgy acknowledging himself as the tyrant - quite far removed seeing the railways as the real oppressors in his original Railway Series appearance, I might add. Did he go through some kind of "if the dome fits, wear it" epiphany during his time as a henhouse or something?

That was so calming I missed the days when stories where slow place. I enjoyed this story so much it is made with quite a lot of tender loving care. As well as characters an excellent group of engine & vehicles which aren’t being shoved for merchandise . they fitted in so naturally as they should. keep up the great work and keep this pace as well it’s long enough for a good story, but not to long to be bored of. as well as the visuals they were spectacular especially the eyes, I find it a little annoying with some people using the eyes to much with them being thrown everywhere, but you did it respectively, simply marvelous. Again I enjoyed this story very a lot of thought and love went into this story. have a great day.

Seems as if Bulgy seems to be quite a popular character among us Thomas fans, even if he didn’t appear so much in model era of the TV series. This was such quite a creative and put together story about a sly troublemaker on the road, when I compare characters to other shows or films I think Bulgy could be based off of Nelson Muntz from “The Simpsons” for instance, I wouldn’t say Bulgy is always a bad character but still there might still be some good left in him. I’ve used Trainz since 2007 when I got TRS2006 for Christmas I’ve thought about upgrading to TRS19 but I’m kind of hesitant about the price at the moment and would just stick to Trainz 12 for now (which what I am still using) I was wondering which other characters you might have a story in mind in future? Still awesome writing much like Wilbert and Christopher’s hope to see more from you soon, keep up the good work and god bless you.

That's a very good question. Admittedly, it is easier to angle a shot and move to a different scene better in Trainz. But I can retake shots quicker with models. So really they're about the same.

Why would Bulgy call himself a Tyrant when he's believes that the Railway is the tyrant? Surely,he'd call himself a Revolutionist or something?

I used that as I thought Bulgy would now consider himself an absolute ruler of the roads or a cruel dictator with how successful he was against the railway. Bulgy does consider himself a revolutionist, you are right. But I consider revolution an act of good, where those wronged rise up against a rule of dictatorship in some form. Bulgy was never wronged and decided to act sneakily against a railway that was willing to work cooperatively with him.
