My bulimia had nothing to do with wanting to loose weight. In fact bulimia made me gain body fat and have damaged kidneys. It was about being traumatised, and stress. I’m also Adhd / not neurotypical. So to me it was about dopamine bursts, not serotonin. Sugary junk fires up dopamine not serotonin. Very outdated stuff…. And there are certain sugary foods that incite neurochemical reactions, like how in alcoholics they must abstain to remain free, the ex bulimic just simply cannot eat without the biochemistry of that junk food inciting a neurobiochemical set off reaction. Fact.

Can someone clarify? At 20:00, she says being a teenager is considered up to the age of 24. Who makes that rule? How did that rule come up?

I need help, I’m currently underweight and I still cant stop purging everything i eat, EVERYTHING, ive been so weak and fainting almost everyday but i just cant stop because i still see myself fat. Ive been having dry mouth and sores and if i try to recover, i get indigestion and constipation, it sucks and is pushing me to stop recovering.

Recovering isn’t about gaining weight..you’re body does need nourishment in order to function and think properly but…recovery is a lot more about being set free from your behaviors and miserable thoughts. Recovery is about making space for joy and passion. Life is MISERABLE with an eating disorder and YOU DESERVE RECOVERY. I believe in you 100000%. I was in the same place 2ish years ago and I had to be the one to fight my family in order to get treatment. It was painful and my ed made me feel extremely guilty for needing help but I am so proud of myself for doing that. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here. You are important, you matter, and you are oh so loved. Don’t give up on yourself lovie💛🦋

You had me until... 28:00 "You will never in your life be able to go without eating" because I will be a breatharian; I don't need to eat or drink; it's a habit that can be kicked.
