We travel 40 kms from home with red chillies dried on our terrace. Rest we get everything from there. We get our own oil, salt not theirs. We also put akha hing in masala. Helps masala stay fresh for long.

I use to stay near Lalbaug area so I know this places very well. We use to get our masalas from there only.

If you want be extra careful, you can be there while they grind your masalas in front of you but your nose should be able to handle the aroma of strong masalas. I get runny nose and sneeze a lot when I go to this place as they have a very strong aroma.
