Sorry for the late episode folks. We lost the Internet overnight. It doesn't help that once we were up again this episode is so damn long. I just had to be done with the cabinet!

Hi, fellow followers. As one of Peter and Geordie’s friends and neighbours, I am thrilled that so many of you noted our critter neighbours upstaging Peter’s cooking. As a marine biologist, I am pleased to share the correct identity of our friendly, fearless, and playful neighbours. They are a distinct species, our ubiquitous river otters (Lontra Canadensis), equally comfortable on land as in fresh or sea water, and frequently miss-identified as sea otters. Also note, they too were enjoying a delicious lunch. They were feeding on mud worms which are very nutritious, tasty (to them), and plentiful in the mudbank adjacent to us. Please note their most distinct id feature when feeding, their long, stout, tapered tail flipping up when diving for another bite of lunch. Cheers, Kim

If you look out the window as you cook lunch there is an otter playing in the water... Lunch looked good, too.

Very cool wild life, there are several otters , critters? swimming , playing when you break out the beer. I am thinking they know it is celebration time.

Just ran across your channel today and couldn't stop watching . I have watch your last three or four videos and really enjoyed watching you redo the bulk head and build your glass cabinet. I'm amazed at how you "cabinet makers" are always three to four steps ahead in your planning and the precise measuring with scribes and razor knives. It is relatively easy to build a set of kitchen cabinets in a house, but on a boat that is not square or level and EVERYTHING has a radius is a real challenge. Kudos to you, a real Master at wood working. I'm enjoying your channel and your narration as you explain what and why your doing something. When I was a young man, in my 20's, 50 years ago, I worked with a cabinet maker that constantly blew my mind with the projects he would build. Your bringing back good old memories. Thank you again for sharing and good luck with your restoration. Absolutely beautiful dog too. ( Palm Beach, Fla. )

I know this video has been up a year but, I only recently came across your channel. I am hooked and hope to see all your videos sooner or later. I don’t want to give you a “big head” but I have to say that you have the quickest mind, widest variety of skills and best gift of gab I’ve ever seen. And, I really like your “Beer of the Week” wrap-up segments.

Hi Peter, I just found your channel the other day and have been voraciously watching past episodes; I still have couple dozen to go, before I'm caught up to present day. I just wanted to thank you for motivating me to redo the doors on our 1969 Evinrude Rogue 210. I replaced the original 1/4" MDF, which I must assume was soaked in resin, with 1/4" plywood. I stained it with Red Mahogany and then wiped it with Teak Oil. I don't remember seeing you feature it yet, but I'd love to send you some Irish Death Ale, from Iron Horse Brewery, as a way to thank you.

Hi Peter. Realising that is is three years later, I still feel the need to point something out. Reference @1:34 into the video; when you pull the wire through the trim piece, the pot light on the port side over the window flickers. As a fellow boat builder I could not sleep tonight unless I brought this (most likely fixed already) issue to your attention. Cheers!

Heh, thank you. yes, I was pulling the bare, twisted together switch wires through a hole and they lost contact momentarily.

Great cabinet. The traditional way to seat the glass would be with linseed putty. the brown version looks good with mahogany if you can get it, silicon if not. and your wood beads on the back. Nice cheese toasty, have you tried Welsh Rarebit? It combines cheese and beer! I like it with a poached egg on top. (but it does break the one pan rule for cooking man food.)

I remember back when I owned a house boat. Late one night I heard growling on the dock, so I went out to investigate. A bunch of these animals were on the dock, I was sure they were otters, so I walked out to them to get a closer look. They weren't very afraid of me, and I got really close... Close enough to start thinking maybe I shouldn't be that close, do these things attack? I still don't know if otters attack... I've seen a lot of crazy stuff... Rapist ducks... A very tame WILD Owl I got to pet... Even a seal... There were a bunch of ducks flying through the marina one day, and I called "QUACK, QUACK, QUACK"... One of the ducks looked down at me and flew right into someones mast, crashed to the boat, fell in the water.... Did that really just happen? I ran over to see if it was alright.... I never saw it resurface... He hit that pole hard man, I don't know.... I love ducks =() I felt bad, but it happened almost like a cartoon....
