I had a job catching bulls in the Kimberleys of Western Australia. This is a little of what I got up to.

Only crazy Australian cowboys would watch a John Wayne movie called Hatari and decide to try it. That's some really cool video. Keep them coming. That cow catcher on the jeep is especially inventive. Make a bolt on kit and sell that on line

Alec's so right; note the armour on the Toyota Landcruisers' front & sides. They're all trucked to an Abbatoir. Check out the winching them onto the freight trucks; they won't go 'follow the leader' like domestic cattle.

Alec, how is that bull catcher engineered? Is it run off the engine or independently? I could see a use for it here in southern Arizona. Thanks!
@AlecL7 жыл бұрын
celticwinter09 it's run independent. The older catchers use a winch motor to drive a chain to the arm. The newer ones use a hydraulic motor directly onto the arm. The hydraulic pump is run off the battery.

Roberto Rafael Kuhl there is 2 million acres there and not a huge number of bulls. A horse wouldn't catch near as many in a day as vehicles and helicopters. Horses and ropes has been tried in the past, just end up killing horses

Malte Blättermann The intersectional tard SJWs loathe me.. I am vegan and most SJWs hate vegans because they remind them that they are incomparably privileged.. Basically for those intersectional craps, you can fight for a cause as long as you don't say shit on the other causes but as a vegan, you need to target mankind as the perpetrator and not just straight white males like they would like us to do.. BTW to respond to your argument, being happy isn't a reason to get killed..

I like the synergy of this management system...when the cattle have eaten all the pasture they have to be shipped out. The only time you can catch them to ship them out is when they have eaten all the undergrowth...WOW is that perfect pasture control or what?
@Meerkatmatt26 жыл бұрын
It's seasonal up there, once the wet season comes, it grows back front the root, as since the grass stops growing in the dry season, there is a finite supply of grass for the entire dry season which can be over grazed.

The horns are tipped then they're loaded onto a truck and taken to the main yards. Once there is enough in the yards the road train comes and takes them to the meat works. They're destined for meat pies etc.
