I don't know, don't have one but I think a cranked-neck chisel would work the same as a chisel plane. (?)

Thank you for the comment. You’re right, they are a great idea, because it allows you to keep the flat of the chisel flat on the surface without the roundness of the handle causing it to raise off the surface. Thanks for watching
