It’s amazing how much the breed winners changed in appearance over the years.

1939 winner was the 1st picture i saw of Bull Terrier. Never forget that dog and its stance and i've been in love with the breed ever since.

That expression on jacobinia! And the change in the down face, from vindicator and mcguffin onwards.

I don't know anything about this breed. I noticed that their eyes are very small and funny comparing to that huge muzzle. Does this breed suffer from that weird looks?

+sembalo - No.

good way to see development of the breed is the end od this video??......i would take any pre WW2 time bullterrier over todays one, actually great video to see how once great dog turn into fat and almost deformed one...... original Hinks were better dogs just my 5cents

Ok, so it seems that it was the 60s and 70s when the faces really started to be curved.

And they lost that athletic looking body and became ‘kegs on legs’

Good way to see the destruction of the breed, more like.

I agree!

+Éadaoin Ishii (Kazeshimasou) - Change, yes, but how do you get 'destruction'? Because you simply don't like how they look now? Because the changes in the breed standard haven't brought any health-related problems with them, the breathing problems flat-nosed breeds have etc.
