George [Noteverette] Ewing D4 D5 best ever built
@edwardgarea76504 жыл бұрын
George [Noteverett] Ewing the D4 was and is one of the most amazing machines in terms of durability and quality. And yet, in the ‘50s Caterpillar took themselves out of the small equipment market to focus on the bigger machines to be used in road construction and mining. In doing so they opened up the market for companies like John Deere and Case. Contractors rightfully wary of the quality of Allis-Chalmers equipment took a flyer on the Deere and Case equipment, especially the Case loader backhoes, which were easier to operate - especially the backhoe, with lesser levers - than the Ford, which was the top seller at the time. It took Cat quite a while to realize their mistake and bring back the D-4. They also added the D-3 to take the place of the super reliable D-2, added the D-5, and finally came out with a local ne of Loader backhoes. My old bosses swore by Caterpillar and when they let me operate them, I understood why.

New sub here, I can’t stop watching how good you are and how well you do these videos. The speed up shots show how really good you are and how thought out each job is. Love that dog. Do you have a video on the container shop where you do your wrench in.

I spent the better part of my younger years logging, mostly I would run a JD 750 or 850 cutting roads for the crew to come cut behind me, Sometimes I would spend weeks by myself. Was the best job I ever had, the smell of the forrest, the smell of the fresh dirt, very calming. I was always at work 30 minutes early and left long after I was supposed to, nice work BTW..
@billsmith51666 жыл бұрын
Have you studied film? Don't listen to the haters. The music was spot on. "I'm probably gonna get stuck, lets see, I might not." Silence for the final work, drive away from the camera, cut. That's a really good video. You have to know that, right?
@AndrewCamarata6 жыл бұрын

Andrew, does it take license to operate exavator? I got a land and i love what you do, i am thinking to make beautifull work on it. Have lots of stone. Thinking on buying exavator. Bulldozer probably after.

Hello Andrew, you work alone so if I can suggest something. Don’t block off your way out with a vehicle, if you get hurt and had to drive out you’d be screwed. I’d park, unload and drive the cat up to where you’re gonna do the road. Maybe there is another way out from where you parked I dunno? Anyways keep the videos coming Andrew! Just hate to hear of you’re demise or something like that. Maybe it’s just me but I like to have a way out in case of emergencies or a way for someone to get in if it’s possible

Good video and nice camera placement too. It's good to have the land to work with and on, isn't it? I am noticing that you're not overloading the dozer, and just taking slow and steady work to get the job done well. I could watch this work for hours!

Yes, Andrew I only realized that at the end, well, it was still good land to work, and you've done a good job with this too. I guess it's a good feeling to look back on a job and see the work, and hear that the customer is pleased, that's all that matters I guess. I've just subscribed to your channel now, ad I'll be watching the other work that you put up here. Cheers!

You're destined to be a millionaire, if you're not already? But would you like to be a Billionaire? Ever consider taking on a partner (in particular someone who also may mildly be "on the scale")? I feel like we share some things most people lack these days: common sense, and a willingness to say, "I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm fucking doing it"... and find a way to succeed, despite everyone else saying "that won't work". I'm the opposite of you, I have a military background in electronics, and have forged out of it into mechanical stuff. I'm currently paid big bucks by Uncle Sam as his #1 tech in the SW U.S. to (legally) break into his most secure safes when some dipshit forgets the combo. Used to install and maintain CCTV systems for the the same creepy uncle. Picked up this new skill and excelled at it in less than a year. Just one example of my weird, complex resume, I literally CAN do it all. Also have a buddy who could triple our skill levels. He also watches your channel. Between the three of us, we could create an absolute EMPIRE, Sir.
