I did that several years ago on my old model Electra. The final torque at the rear wheel is definitely less,something you don't want in the hills. But yes, a was able to achieve 90kmph on a bike which felt stressed at 70 (have also double plugged it).

Very simple & logical point bole ho Bhai,we have done done many experiments in Yamaha RXs on sprockets.Reduce rear wheel rim size to 1inch..u will get maximum pickup & top speed.

@@niteshec67 all other things remaining constant change rear rim to spoke(no alloys) 17 inch of CT 100 or Platina 3.00 tyres..u will get 10kmph more top speed with same pickup & mileage..

This setup is very for cruising on highways , this would work on hills but without Pillion . It can pull through congested traffic but you to downshifts more often, If you ride it like a bobber with single seat definitely it can cruise at 100 kmph for long hours and less vibration , but torque reduces a bit so its difficult to overtake at speeds like 80 or 90 kmph

Cruising speed will increase. But the gearing on the 350 is not enough to turn 18 teeth on the front. I've done it. Top speed decreased greatly.

Brother, the chain spoket size has a direct impact on the engine. There is 150 cc difference in between the 2 models and by putting this bigger size spoket will unnecessarily put load on the engine which u cannot notice all of a sudden. On a longer run the crank will get damaged. The manufacturer has put different sockets for these 2 models (350 cc and 500 cc) for some reason na?

Classic's 16teeth sprocket is enough to increase top speed slightly and there no much effect on pick up as well. I wonder whether there are any sprockets available between 17-19 teeth. That will be an interesting trial.... By the way a good video with some nice explanation as ever!

For 500cc engine cam shaft thickness is more ..than 350cc cam shaft...so that you can use 18 teeth sprocket wheel in 500cc. But ,in 350cc engine if you are using 18 teeth sprocket wheel , instead of 15teeth sprocket wheel, the bigger dia will create torque moment on that cam shaft....it will leads to the cam shaft failure or break. Its very dangerous guy.....royal enfield R & D department peoples not a stupid guys....they do more research for evrything....dont do this stupid idea..

On 350..it will be waste of money. Experience. Pickup(torque)will reduce a lot. Never dp if riding on hilly area . Speed -5kmph change approx,but the motor will have to rev more. Basically over killing the engine. Adviced Not to do

Man it will not go beyond 105 kmph as in 5th gear engine is not reaching to 4300 rpm after installing 18t sprocket as gear ratio gets altered hens you don’t achieve top speed in Bullet. This theory works in high reving bike like KTM, Kavasaki, Honda but not in bullet I already tasted it and got my 16 sprocket back.

Eali Sunil without this installation you can reach up to 125 kmph at 4500 rpm depending upon road conditions, Tyre pressure, Rider weight and wind direction.

Was thinking about a 500 unit construction, the amount of work required to change a front sprocket when worn out is making me have 2nd thoughts. Had a gs500 Suzuki 10 years ago and did the same, didn't take as long and I did it for an improvement to mpg, wasn't worth the effort, it did lower rpm and a small improvement in mpg. Did it go faster ? Don't think so.

Abhijith Viswam Yes, worn out sprocket will have less friction with chain and hence the transfer of power from sprocket to chain will reduce and hence there will be loss in power delivered to the wheels.
