First of all, Dash, when you're in first place, the Bullet Bills don't last as long as usual; they only last 3 seconds. I've been practicing with Bullet Bills myself, and I've gotten pretty good at it. The trick is to use them wisely. If you don't have to, save them for the really tough stuff. And if you can, make sure you have an extra one with you. Also, stay away from the middle of the track where they'll likely hit you. Use your smarts to be able to use your Bullet Bills effectively.

Dash the reason why the bullet don’t last as long in certain places is because your in a higher place and really bullets are made for people that are in last like for example a bullet will last the most amount of time when I person is in like 11th or 12th place really but this still look fun and chaotic

Play defensively in the top 5 places (in reference to the triple shell race.) don’t throw them if you don’t have to. Focus on your skill on the course itself and use them for defense. Also, after you get an item box, if you press the item button, you’ll get items faster. Hope this helps! Good vid
