My grandma had a 2 door Fairmont wagon back in the mid and late 80's. It was some sort of "program car" that my grandpa bought from our local dealership. I don't remember the specifics but I guess they sent them to the highest selling dealerships in each state or something. I haven't seen one since then.

@@Str8sixfan GM did the same thing with the 79 and 80 the Malibu wagons, one of the guys that lived down the street was the sales manager at the local Chevy/Olds/Cadilllac dealership and had a 2 door wagon as a program car and they him drive it home and around town as advertisment and as a car they would use to drive people home while their car was getting worked on by the service department. I have only seen one of those since then too and that was at a Goodguys show in Florida.

This is the car Steve McQueen would have driven in 1979, if "Bullitt Too" had been filmed. And Bill Hickman (playing a twin brother of the deceased villain in the 1968 movie) would be driving a 1978 Dodge Magnum, seeking revenge.
