Singing (well) and playing complex songs at the same time requires not just practice, but the ability to separate your mind, if you know what I mean? That's how I say it feels. The playing isn't automatic, as you are playing in your head at the same time, but you have to control your voice and breathing more than the playing. The playing almost has an automatic feel, but it is definitely playing in your head like in the back of your mind, but consciously. It is hard to explain. I know people that are beasts playing and singing but just can't do both at the same time as well. I fortunately have always been able to, which makes me think that it takes more than practice, and more the ability to compartmentalise both playing and singing in real time. Until you find that "switch" for want of a better word, then you cannot achieve it, no matter how long you try. It is a mental ability. It is the same with screaming properly, if that helps understand. That switch into the mode. Can all singer/guitarists achieve it? Of course, but you must learn and practice the right way. I actually started off with Nirvana songs. Come as you are is a good one to practice achieving the split, as the verses, although not complicated to play, combined with the singing melody make it an almost perfect song to learn the switch as I call it.

I like that even though you did mess up slightly in some parts you always remain calm about it and you just accept defeat it just shows how much of a great guitarist you are cause tbh not anyone can learn to accept making slight mistakes in their playing I mean sure it's better without them but I think freaking out about it and just shooting another take or just playing it and dubbing it over the video is just isn't honest playing in my opinion you're a really really cool guitarist Nik and this type of content like covers and heavy riffs and memes just fit you perfectly
