Bullet Hell Monday (PC) - True Last Boss Heaven No Miss No Bomb (Laser/Phantom)

Fits the difficulty curve about as much as Aki does to Mushi Arrange's.
This boss is exclusive to PC. It only appears in Challenge ALL, presumably Normal or higher. Good thing you can now take over replays.
Ridiculous difficulty, although very uneven:
1) Slow stream, restream on cancels, dodge a bit of the first red wave.
2) Destroy middle box, advance, destroy middle pair, go back (4x)
3 obsolete) THE spike. Go to middle left as soon as the boxes cancel, stream toward the corner then a bit to the right. Place the decoy and dash to the lane on the right. Stay on the right side for the second half, misdirect a bit then go down. Place the second decoy and dash left (back end of lasers doesn't seem to have a hitbox). Zigzag until you get walled, then pull back to wait it out.
3 updated) There's a safespot in front of the boss around the height of the line between the stage 2 and 3 splits ;_;
4) Simple stage. Stream from the right, kill the big ships, go to the left, follow the other big ships.
5) Hard but reasonable. Each set of lines is aimed, so you need to move every time.
(obsolete) Not using decoys doesn't seem to be viable at all, so Phantom is pretty much required.

GG! Amazing clear ^^ It was really exciting getting to the end for the first time and seeing there is a TLB. Still have yet to get a clear though, this boss is certainly ridiculous x3 Thanks for also explaining a bit of the strategy to the attacks as well! I eventually want to try a No Miss No Bomb of Normal mode, and a Heaven 1cc, so having a good reference to look at is very helpful. Do you know if the Normal mode version scaled for difficulty at all? I Game Over'd pretty much instantly on the first attack, so I didn't get much of a chance to see the patterns for comparison, though I would guess that it would be.

the boss is a lot easier on normal from memory, the first attack is substantially slower, the box bit doesn't have any bullets to dodge, the enemy spam bit has less bullets at the start and the second half has no bullets until larger enemies spawn and the final attack is easier

​@@inakilbss Wanted to mention something that I found after practicing the TLB more on Normal to attempt a Pacifist Challenge ALL run. On the 3rd attack, there is actually a safespot for it on Normal Mode. If you rush to the top of the screen and just sit close to the boss, all the lasers from the homing enemies will miss you as they spawn. This works for the entire attack, and theres enough time to get in and out of place during the cancels. I'm not sure if this would work on higher difficulties, just because I haven't gotten to the boss yet on those to try it via a replay. If you look at the laser hitboxes attached to the enemies spawned though using the replay options, you can see that the hitbox doesnt extend fully on the tail end of the sprite. I dont know how possible a Pacifist clear is for the higher difficulties (even just on the TLB alone, the Boxes attack would require a lot of luck and perfect movement lol), but hopefully this safespot still works on Hard/Heaven mode, and makes a No-Miss No-Bomb on this more doable with all ship types! I can upload an example of how I do the fight on Normal if you want to see the strategy in action, but otherwise was going to just wait until I manage a Pacifist ALL clear before uploading an example of it (or whenever I have the time for a Normal/Hard scoring run, aha).

@@xeirla222 before i though of using decoys i did try hugging the boss but it didn't work, heaven has way more enemies and they carry 3 lasers instead of 2 also i go through several back ends of lasers here, this strat also depends on it to be even remotely consistent

I don’t have the Steam version of this game, so you should tell Masayuki Ito to update the mobile version, so it matches with the Steam UI, and the true last boss should be added to Challenge All! I will use the strong weapon types: 1. Search 2. Shielding

Maybe other players can try this without music! If they say the sound still fades out and back in, then the sound fading should be replaced with Half 1 of the credits, and the credits scene should have Half 2!

What is the best weapon?

for survival i'd say wide/shield or blade/shield, the latter being more applicable to NMNB shield breaks turn out to not count as misses nor bombs and the shield regenerates automatically when you get an excess bomb so you can get hit many times and still NMNB for score it depends on the exact category: heaven is the most competitive and is dominated by wide/shield, laser/phantom and wide/blade easy has few enough bullets to make time/blade viable sometimes other categories use simple combos like laser/wide and laser/homing but i don't think those are optimal anywhere

Lock On/Search and Time as well. Time slows down enemies while the Lock On produces a wide array of lasers when bomb is triggered

@@alster724 homing lasers are search's bomb, not lock on's regardless, the bomb is the least enviable thing about either lock on is good for bosses and big enemies but gets outclassed by laser and wide with some routing idk what search is good for, i've tried it a few times and it just seemed mediocre at everything, which doesn't really work when you can select 2 shots time is very bomb focused but you lose the s when switching to a better weapon so it only seems good for very optimized scoring

​@@inakilbss Search is basically Lock-On V2. It can be good for bosses but if you just want to dodge while not worrying about positioning to damage then Lock-On is just better

@@halumination5472 finale 410? that's not just not shooting, but nothing at all i did it in phase 1, laser spark bomb at the top center so you kill most parts but not the center laser, this will give you plenty of time to afk in the corner till the phase times out
