Original one was a Denso unit I believe, a very good quality component and yes expensive! Please also check if your TCI unit, if yours is a pre 2009 bike then upgrade to a post 09 one, as the kick back issue was resolved post 09.

My bike didn't have Denso, probably someone whacked it off. Got the one from Flipkart and worked amazingly well for the money. I think TCI was already upgraded. Since the bike is sold and sent to Assam now and the new owner was super happy with it and overall condition.
