It's frankly an injustice that this series isn't being talked about on every corner of the internet. I was just introduced to this *today* because minaxa made a video on it, and I instantly knew I had to watch this as soon as I heard Cosmic Horror. Amazing work

I'm still amazed at how underappreciated this series is. It's consistently of a high quality both in its visuals and lore and has only gotten better (with the creator even releasing improved "directors cut" style rereleases of already good content he thought he could do better later on, something I've never seen an analog horror do before). Even though it wears its inspirations like Evangelion and The Thing on its sleeve it still seems to be doing its own thing and is by far my favorite analog horror on KZbin. But it has no googly eyed, creepy skinwalker jumpscares so I guess it doesn't appeal to the average brainrot viewer (not saying all analog horror is that, some are really good, but a lot of them are supremely dumb and get by on scary visuals).

Keep in mind, Ray O'Connor had been at home since at least 1995 on Psychological Contamination duty. He was the one that reported the Theta and Delta waves coming from AZ-001. For all we know, he could have been infected even before this. It would explain why the cult was so organized

This series is really well constructed. Not only the scares and bit by bit stuff. But the narrative buildup overtime is really fun to follow. It’s subtle but not too overcomplex. Rewarding to engage with. Love it love it love it

Guys, I think I have a theory. This is the movie. These tapes ARE Midwest Angelica, the film advertised at the very beginning. The HOME logo looks like an M and an A overlapped. The titles of each upload are identical to the naming convention used for films when shooting to keep them in order. 001, 001-A, and so on. This explains why none of the events depicted have been verified in real life, as per the video descriptions. Midwest Angelica is the showing of an old ARG or cosmic horror film that was distributed in old abandoned areas to add to the experience.

Just today learned of this series, but I've a theory! With episode 00 being an advertisment for the film, what if all that we're watching is just that, shots from the film? What if the reason they couldn't find anything on this pathogen is because it's fictional? That would also explain the CGI being so bad, it's the 90's after all and the reason they couldn't find the movie is because it was locally made and only locally sold (with only a few if any copies sold)
