Yeah, the good old hammer... Until this video I had no clou how to do the Hammer Twist without a proper fitness tool - just to defend myself, english isn't my native language and I also didn't know the name of the exercise.

Yes please to the golfers and tennis elbow Vids!! I recently started doing weighted dips and pull ups and I got hints of sensation where the classic golfers elbow appears. Definitely want to nip that in the bud ..

Thank you Tom - your videos have been incredibly helpful. I had tennis and golfers elbows on both arms! I've been working through your suggested exercises for the last five months. I have only minor discomfort left. They sure take a while to rebuild strength! I neglected my forearms are working too much behind a screen at home during COVID. Matt

Consider the following situation: During their performance, a magician hands out coins to their audience and asks them to stand up and flip their coins repeatedly. One rule: whoever gets tails, sits down and stops. In this scenario there'll always be some people who stand longer than others, i. e. who get longer streaks of heads. And the few who stand the longest can have absurdly long streaks. Maybe your streak just hasn't ended yet.

Please do a golfer’s elbow prevention video. I had both golfer’s and tennis elbow in the same right elbow from 20 rep pull up leg lifts with too much wrist flexion plus hitting the elbow on a few tables. It only went away after I stopped doing pull ups, bench press and bicep exercises completely. I saw your older video about your golfer’s elbow recovery and it was helpful. Another video with more suggestions on how to prevent a flare up in elbows that previously had golfer’s or tennis elbow would be appreciated. Until then, I’m holding off on chin ups (even with rings) and bicep curls.

The tennis elbow idea is a must! Definitely would like a video focusing on scapula strength as well! I recently reprogrammed my training to focus on grip strength/scapula strength and now I'm holding a solid 30 second handstand for the first time ever. My levers are also strengthening much quicker than they ever had prior to me focusing on these finer aspects of calisthenics.

Didn't know you did videos on developing stronger joints! I learnt more than one thing this time around 🙂 Another class video Tom, full of great content as always. I do pronated bicep curls to help with my forearms, plus a rotational exercise, where I rotate a barbell in my hands forwards, then backwards. Try doing that a minute each way, then 10 reps of pronated bicep curls. Pumping forearms!

I never get big issues with my elbows. I put it down to elbow rotations. Hold arms straight out to the side, bend elbow to 90 degrees and windmill in both directions. Doing this in sequence with shoulder rotations and wrist rotations is the ultimate joint warm up.

Golfers elbow is a a right pain when you get it...takes at least 6 months to get over it... and then you always have a tendency to strain the tendons again. Thera band stick was the best treatment for me.

Just to clarify, what kind of training do you do besides this for the 8 week sessions? :) I am doin BBR by Fitnessfaq, and I think it might be too much work to do this on top? Especially since I entered phase 2 where I also have to do hanging from the rings on one of the sessions. Might experiment with doing 2 of these exercises on the day pull day where there is no hanging :) Cheers, love the content! You and Fitnessfaq really got me into calisthenics, got stronger and more flexible following the principles you two are teaching us, so thanks a ton man!

The recent journey you’ve been on is oddly parallel to what I’ve been interested in conditioning wise, with exception of the OAHS, which is a dragon I am not sure I am ready to take on. 😄 I started doing a lot of these exercises with the free Handstand Factory wrist strength guide after seeing Emmet Louis share it - I love the information you’ve added on and compiled, while making it really easily digestible. 🙌 ❤️
