This is NOT a 1988 560SEL. This would be a 1982-1985 manufactured vehicle that was used as a host car for a 1988 conversion that took place at Mercedes Benz in Germany.

Ferdinand Marcos served as the Philippine president from 1965-1986 when his reign ended when he was ousted in a relatively bloodless revolution. 1965-1972 (duly elected) 1972-1986 (Martial Law era).
