That's very professional....very few shops do a WPC(deluxe shot peen) and cryo. The solid collar is the icing on the cake. Your drive pattern is perfect. Coast is what it is. Can't change it. Yep, the comet tail can be a "3rd opinion". Target is 13 to 15 on pinion preload....ha....best to shoot for 10. It just is. 👍👍

Why is the axle bearing wider on that diff than the bearing the AE71 wagon std diff that would actually be carring a bigger load ?

Thanks for this video. It brought to my attention that my oil slinger for my corolla diff was missing. Do you lubricate the pinion bearings when you check the preload?

How much more strength does that WPC and cryo treatment give to the differential? Also would it be beneficial in an off-road 4x4 application?

It would be best to ask CTP Cyrogrenics or WPC themselves as they are the experts. Ive seen they also do off road and baja parts such as CV joints and gearsets.

Will do, WPC and cryo treatment is another alternative to gaining more strength instead installing to bigger and heavier differentials or transfer cases.

Thats awsome! I loved the video and it gave me so much info! I was wondering which companies did you go with for the cryo treatment and for the wpc? I am researching about this but there is so little information out there that pertains to having both done. I have an engine build for my car that I am going to be slowly piecing together over the years and I hope that I can make them as strong as possible and to make sure I can have it last for a long time. If not publically you can pm on youtube I think it has pms. I really would like to know. Thank you and keep up the great content!

@@thbigshot101 This was for a customer running a BEAMS swap. After this work the diff should be near silent, the LSD will lock harder, some cars even coast/roll smoother. I currently do not have any WPC/Cyro treated parts in my own cars. As the saying goes "the cobblers children have no shoes"

@@CMAutohaus thank you, i wanted to get some springs, retainers, and valves done, just have to figure a way to get the dimensions. Not to mention the final gear...i do have a question for you. I got my straight cut gears set 1st-5th cryo treated and shot peened...do you think wpc would help any or is that overkill?
